  • holds my mixer and rack synths
Holds mixer, racked synths, and some trays. With the wheels, it reaches the max height to stay comfortable without blocking the speaker line of sight.

  • Niiiice
Great rack stand. I wished the table laid flat but other than that it’s served it’s purpose

  • Ride it 'til the wheels fall off.
Because they will. I use this rack onstage, multiple times a week, and put a lot of miles on it. Overall super happy. I've had it for almost a year and a half, but normal wear and tear of set-up, stage use, tear-down and transport caused the wheels to fail on the rear of the rack. Currently looking to see about a fix. If you need this for a fixed (studio) application, can't recommend it enough. If you're taking it on the road, be advised that this thing will fail, given time. But still, for the price, I can afford to buy another one for about 1/4 of what I make each night, and this thing has done 500 gigs or more with no problems. Adding another comment about a year later. This cart still in use, playing indoor and outdoor gigs, loading up in the van, trucking across parking lots, etc. Replaced two of the four casters, but in that same time, I've had to replace speaker stands, a power amplifier, and one powered speaker. This thing rocks. My recommendation, and what I will personally do when (if) this thing finally gives up the ghost... buy it. Give it an all over spray with a silicone sealer, (There are a few rust spots developing, not bad couple years down the road!) maybe even a paint job if you don't like the flat black. Replace the casters if you're using outside the studio. Good indoor/outdoor rubber wheels are less than 20 bucks, and would have been a great addition! ... show more

  • Simple and effective
Initially I was looking for a road case but didn't have $400+ to burn right now. I saw this and thought at least for the short term I'm not transporting my gear (I'm setting up a home studio) so since it's pretty cheap I'll give it a try before one of the kids knock over my precariously stacked gear. It's interesting engineering, huge Allen head bolts into light walled square tubing. The bolts are so substantial they can easily be over torqued and crush the tubing. I was concerned at first until I assembled it. It went together easily and did have instructions contrary to some reviews. The instructions were a bit vague but there isn't that much to it, my 6 year old and I put it together in maybe 10 minutes. He then proceeded to ride it around on the hard wood floors. It will hold some weight and rolls freely. I put my 16 channel Yamaha mixer on top with a furman power conditioner. On the bottom a couple of amps and several processors with room to spare. It still rolls with ease however I did have to order some different cables ( since it's not all stacked up 3 ft high anymore) and some cable management items to clean it up. I did like the nuts with the clips on them that came with the rack and I'd like to get a few more as some of my 1U units only have 2 bolts in them , realisticly that's probably plenty but... Only complaint is a lack of attention to detail during manufacturing, when they mug welded in the bolts and such they didn't clean off all the slag and I got a minor cut during assembly. A sanding disc and a couple of minutes took care of it. I'm quite please overall. ... show more

  • Add a faceplate to the top portion and turn it into a laptop stand.
Note that the smaller rack doesn't come with all the same pieces as the bigger rack (see the instructions when you get it). Assuming that is why some reviewers are saying that not all parts were included. Sturdy enough to get the job done. The included mounting hardware for your equipment is a wider diameter than what you might traditionally find on a Gator or SKB rack. It works but I'm unsure if you will find additional screws and nuts on the shelf. I mounted two faceplates and 4 pieces of gear and exhausted the included mounting hardware. One of the poles has the powder coating peeling away; where the mounting rail is welded to the pole, and was covered in a rusty dust. A little bit of clean up before assembly was required as a result. A small complaint for a studio rack that costs less than $60 That said it's made workflow a bit quicker and rear access to gear is much easier. Decent value for money. ... show more

  • Great Product But Not Universal
I'm very familiar with rack mounted systems with 18 years experience in audio engineering. This rack product is great; pretty sturdy, descent height, not to difficult to assemble and mobile (instructions are not that great). I only gave it four stars because the hardware (screws, etc) required to mount rack mountable devices are proprietary unlike 90% of racks on the market that can accept the Raxxess standard screws. There is not enough hardware (screws & clips) to mount all of my devices and I'm unsure how to acquire more. The tons of Raxess screws I have on hand will not work with this system due to the square holes instead of the standard round holes. Overall I would recommend the product for price and quality. I would love to see the manufacturer standardize the holes because most people in this profession keep the standard Raxxess screws on hand. ... show more

  • Someone didn’t drill one of the holes
The pivot hole on the left side wasn’t drilled, so I had to drill it myself. Like others I was under the impression that this came with a few more rails on the top to all surface mounting something. It could also come with a few more rack nuts and screws. The pros are that it is assembled with gigantic screws and does seem to be sturdy. ... show more
