    • Flexible backdrop system
I like the design of the system overall. I use 3" PVC tubing, but you could easily use thin wall metal tubing. I have a few extra tubes to quickly change out a backdrop if the one I want is not "loaded" at the time. The only thing that keeps me from giving this system five stars is the chain used to roll up the backdrop. The plastic feels weak, but so far it is working with minimal tangling. I suspect the links will smooth out with use. If a link breaks it would be easy to just shorten the chain. Assemble the chains with the clip opening facing towards the "outside" of the run for smoother operation. ... show more

    • Doesn’t really work……
The things that turn the back drop just turns…… it doesn’t turn the backdrop.. we can pull it down but can’t pull them back up… as the things turn, the screws either go all the way in & the knobs fall off… or the come all the way out & the knobs fall off… maybe the guy that installed it just didn’t know what he was doin?? Idk but I tried as well & it doesn’t work. ... show more

Poor instructions and diagrams on how to install! Unless you installing into concrete you gonna want to buy different anchors. The anchors given are not meant for dry wall or studs.

My only gripe so far is the lack of helpful instructions. I had a friend help me install it and needed to mount 10’ aluminum poles between the mounts, so when we measured, it wasn’t going to fit into studs, so I had to put strips of 2x4s on my ceiling so I could mount it. The pulleys work well, surprisingly, being plastic, but on the opposite end is a tightening knob (didn’t see anything about that in the instructions). This is to give you the tension of the system for rolling the backdrop. Since I’ve loosened it, the rolls are nice and smooth. Regarding the backdrop, I’ve been using seamless paper, though it should support a large canvas backdrop I have. Most seamless paper rolls are larger than the aluminum poles (several brands sold separately) so when trying to roll it up or down, the paper will not move tightly. What I found to work is taking a tennis ball and cutting it into 1/4s and wedging it between the pole and the roll of paper. Like I said above, the plastic chains work well, but if you have to take the roller down, be sure not let the chain get linked, otherwise you’ll be removing 1-2 links just to get it back to normal. I will probably look for metal replacements at some point. ... show more
