      • Absolutely a must have for PS4 games on PS5!
    Works like an absolute dream. I have all 30+ of my PS4 games loaded on the drive ready to go when I pop in the disc. If you don't know, even if you have a disc, the game must be installed. This takes room, a helava lot more than you have to hold 30+ games. Oh and by the way. Those 30+ are maybe a quarter of the space in the drive. I am sure I could easily pass 100 games. No more having just the games you MIGHT currently play installed, have them all! And if your digital OMG your really set. I also have all my digital PS Plus games installed and can play them with just a click! With that I think it's 40+ games! You gotta have this, even if your sticking with the PS4 it will be just as good for you. Now as for PS5 games, they currently need to be installed in the PS5 to play. It says it is still better to hold the installation of PS5 games your not playing in the external drive because it's faster than installing from disc. If I remember, I read that on the PS5 external drive page in the system. Either way with all your PS4 games on the external, you'll have plenty of room for all the new games you'll buy and not be out of space before you buy your first PS5 game. Try it! ... show more

    Perfect hard drive for ps4 games. I have a ps5 and didn't want to lose my collection of ps4 games when I upgraded. So I bought this hard drive and the setup was plug in and play. Yes that simple. Works perfectly it is fast, reliable, and best of a very large storage capacity. I highly recommend it.

      • Works great but the stand is awful
    Works great items fast and has a lot of storage and easy to connect and can start using immediately however this brand (I have 2 of these other is a 4tb) has very bad stands the slightest push or knock unlocks it and the hard drive falls over as a result

    The first one I received felt like the hard drive moved around in the enclosure, as if it was loose, and it make sounds that seemed a little abnormal while reading/writing. I ended up having an issue with it while using it with my console and emailed the company. They responded the same day with instructions for free replacement, shipping paid for by them. The replacement came very quickly as well. I asked to have it packaged a little more securely than the previous one, a request they granted and delivered on. The second drive did not shake inside the enclosure, seems much more secure with no noises, and no odd noises while reading/writing. I think the design is wonderful especially given the new PS5 design, it looks like a cute mini-PS5 standing next to it. I can speak to longevity or life of the drive, as I've only had it about a month. The only other knock on it is the usable space is only 7.35TB. Not too big of a deal as that is normal to not get the full usable space on any drive. Also, I think the price is right for this. EDIT: Increased from 4 to 5 stars as it has been 2.5 years and it still operates perfectly, and really enjoy the look of it next to my PS5. ... show more

    I thought that the price was to good to be true for an 8TB HDD, I tried to write a good chunk of data on to disk only for it to be stopped multiple times, then I pulled a diagnostic check on it and saw that this HDD has 53000 hrs clocked on it… needless to say I know this was pulled out of a server and slapped with a pretty box but be careful as bad sectors will occur… I returned needless to say ... show more
