The media could not be loaded. I regularly run between 4:30-5:30 in the morning, so my top priorities when buying a wearable light were that it made me visible to cars and didn’t rub or bounce around on my body. First let me speak on the light. It is quite bright and I am for sure visible to vehicles coming or going. The lamp can be angled down (like in my video) or straight ahead. After I recorded the video I played with the angles a little and actually decided I liked it straight out instead because it helped me see my surroundings a little better, but I couldn’t see the sidewalk in front of me quite as well. If you walk/run on uneven surfaces, straight down would probably be a better option. As for the comfort of the light, I barely notice it at all. It fits snugly around my chest and I don’t have any issues with the shoulders rubbing or sliding down. The lamp itself stays put on my chest, but because of the way my arms/shoulders move, the beam of light bounces around a lot and in the really dark parts of my route, it almost made me feel a little motion-sick. I grew accustomed to it after a few minutes though and it didn’t bother me after my first run. I think wearing the light in the straight out position did help. This is a non-issue if you’re walking. I’ve worn it 3 times now and my initial thoughts still hold up. So far it’s been on for a total of about 2 1/2 hours right out of the box and I haven’t needed a charge yet. Also, during one run, there was a light rain falling the whole time and it didn’t seem to affect the light at all. ... show more

Now that the days are getting shorter, I took my first run outside last night in the dark. I had the chest light on, and I put the red blinking lights on my shoelaces. I was well visualized. I felt safe, I could see the path in front of me. Very pleased.

::Edit:: Since writing this review I have been contacted by the company and was offered a full refund. This offer was not contingent upon me changing or deleting my review and I appreciate both of those things. I didn't seek them out for a refund or to return the product, so I also appreciate their quick customer service and their proactive nature when trying to make things right. It is possible that I recieved a defective unit but that doesn't change their IP rating in regards to dust or water exposure so just be aware of that. It looks like a solid product with a good battery life and a strong light, both of which are important since this is all for the runner's safety. Thank you for the great customer service and if your products change down the road I might be interested in giving them a shot. ::Original Review:: I've debated since last night writing this because I hate to leave negative reviews. That being said, I was reminded today, this is a potential safety device and others might want to be aware. I bought this late September in preparation for daylight savings time and I have only used it on my runs twice this week. The first run was a quick 3 mile run and I had no issues. Last night I did a longer 8 mile run and that's when I had my issues. When it started getting dark I was at about the 6 mile point and sweating pretty well. The device was fully charged but when I went to turn it on I had to press the button multiple times to get it turn on. When I tried to dim it one setting down it was unresponsive. A few steps later it randomly turned off, a couple more steps and it turned back on. This continued for another 2 miles no matter how many times I tried to use the power button. The only difference between the first night and the second was the amount of sweat from my shirt touching the front and back light part of the harness. I didn't sweat much for the first run but when I looked at the back of the front light it was pretty wet. I also noticed the design and I've shown it in the picture. The housing has wide open slits leading to the inner part of the light. I've never had a headlamp or otherwise with this much access to the inner metal of the device. The IP rating (dust and water rating and was hard to find) on the company website has it listed at IPx4, meaning they didn't test for dust and a 4 rating means it's only protected from splashing water, not necessarily from water that is pressed against it. Had I known this, I would have never bought this. Sweat is a constant when running and I also get caught in the occasional downpour, both of those things warrent a device used outdoors for safety to be sturdy and reliable. If neither apply to you than it's brightness is great and the weight is low so I could see it being a reasonable purchase. ... show more
