There was no assembly required on this shuffler other than installing 4 double A batteries. This shuffler is compact, well made, easy to use, & gets the job done. I have only shuffled 1 deck brand new Bicycle Cards which are slippery & glide through the machine easily. I do make sure that the deck is divided evenly & that the cards are aligned before starting the machine thereby avoiding jams which I have never had. Sometimes the top card on the feeder flies out backwards onto the table. I do shuffle multiple times just as I would were I to shuffle the cards myself. The only drawback is that the shuffler is loud as ice being fed into a paper cup, a paper shredder, or a popcorn popper. I can live with that. I play a lot of solitaire games which are over quickly so I appreciate the help provided by this shuffler since I have difficulty using 1 hand. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase, & wonder why it took me so long to buy this attractive, affordable shuffler as I have been an avid Solitaire player for years. Yes, it is noisey but I don't care lol cos this contraption is soooo good at what it does! Other reviews out there have mentioned the cards stick or get stuck etc and I've done it 10xs in a row now and it's perfect! It's fast, fun, and a good value for the money!
