  • Once a great product.
Style: In-Channel 4pc
I have purchased at least a dozen sets of this brand Vent Visor over the years. And I have had excellent luck with all but the last two sets. The set prior to this one in the factory packaging, did not have the shrink wrapping affixed properly. I figured that this was just one of those factory mess ups that happen. The 4 visors were loose inside the plastic wrap and they rubbed up against each other causing scratches all over the visors. What a classy pre-used second hand look. But I kept them because I didn't want to be bothered returning them. At least they adhered to the truck properly. Well, I just got a brand new truck and I ordered a new set of these. To my dismay, four years later, I got an Identical packaging job with identical results. Visors all scratched up. I mean COME ON GUYS!, These bits of plastic are $50. Once more, I don't feel upset enough to return them, though I am very disappointed. BUT THERE'S MORE!!!!. On every previous set of these visors, they have come with high quality 3M double sided tape approximately half an inch wide. These came with a thin foam quarter inch double sided sticky tape. Needless to say, not a single one of the 4 adhered to the window seal like they have always done in the past. The only thing holding them in place right now is the window glass applying pressure. I am going to let these sit over night and see if the pressure from the window can get them to adhere to the Window Seal. But if they are not solid in the morning, they are coming straight off and heading back to Amazon. I don't know what the hell happened to this company, but it's a crying shame because I have never had issues with these in the past. I am not at all impressed. I will update this in the morning once I see if they have stuck properly or not. Update 03/24/2019: I could have sworn I updated this months ago, but I guess not. I ended up checking king the shades the following morning and they held, but made an unsticking sound. I left the windows up for a full week, after all we do all we do have ac at our disposal. The next time I lowered the windows, they were all affixed. Its been months now and so far, they are working as you would expect them to. Looks like they are going to hold. I am updating to 3 stars because they did work in the end. But the scratches are still there, even though it never phases me unless I happen to notice it, and then I'm irritated once more. And even though the tape worked, for crying out loud, how much money are you saving by using a crappier tape? In the past, once the tape touched rubber, that was it. Those sucker's were stuck on. To be honest, I'm surprised that these are holding so well given how I literally could get the to stay on at first. So, these will probably work in the end for everyone. But they are not in my opinion 2.75 stars. Not quite a three star, but it's not fair to leave a 2 star either. From 10 ft away they look great and they function. So, yea. ... show more

  • Works fine after a little help
Style: In-Channel 4pc
I bought these in March of this year. No problems with anything on three of the doors. The drivers door had issues like several other people noted about the window rolling back down when using automatic roll up. This wasn’t a big deal. About 2 months ago this piece started to fall out of the window on a hot day. Temp was in the upper 90s. It wouldn’t stick back in the track so I finished removing it and replaced the tape with some new 3m tape like what was used originally. I went back through the cleaning process again before reinstalling the deflector and then left the window closed for almost five days. A week and a half later it starts to fall out again on another 90+ degree day. I finished removing it again and simply added a small amount of permatex black silicone gasket maker to the tape and reinstalled. I left the window up over night for the silicone to cure. So far I haven’t had anymore problems and as an added bonus the auto up feature works now without any issues. It might be a redneck repair but none of the silicone is visible and it’s working without any problems. ... show more

  • I guess we’ll see

I just recently bought a set of these things for my truck and I absolutely love them! So I got this set for my wife’s 2013 Honda Accord Sport. lol love the way they look. They seem to function perfectly. Allows me, a smoker, to open my window just a crack to let the smoke out without getting soaked. And they allow the wife to get some fresh air when it’s raining. Very nice looking on her car. But-and this is a big but- I’m really concerned about the adhesion. See, I have an unlimited pass for the local car wash. I generally wash her car at least three times a week. The set I got for my truck the shades actually go into the window seal/rubber trim. With her car, they just stick onto the outside chrome trim. Nothing holding them to the car but the adhesive. Now it’s really good 3M adhesive, but still... I haven’t tried going through the automatic car wash yet. If they stay on the car I’ll up it to five stars. If not they’ll be going back.Wish me luck! I’ll update this either way. I really will. I hate when people say that they will update and then they never do it. For now I will recommend Thanks for reading Update: Been through the car wash three times now-zero issues. Bumping it up to five stars! Very happy ... show more

  • Nice, but not perfect.
Style: In-Channel 4pc
They work okay and look great. My only real problem is that frequently when the window goes up, it automatically starts back down when it hits the top. The ventshade must be triggering a sensor that something is in the way. Sometimes it does this repeatedly. It helps to stop the window and inch or two from the top and then continue up. I have them on a 2015 GMC Sierra. ... show more

  • Old stock...tape did not adhere
Style: In-Channel 4pc
Ordered this for my 2016 silverado. Came shipped in good packaging however, item must be old stock. When I went to remove the shrink wrap from the package, the red tape protecting the adhesion point came off two of the visors. After installing, they sat for a few days with the windows up. I just took the truck out for a spin and being it's a little warmer here, I wanted to put the windows down. The drivers side front visor is only adhered partially and fell off. I checked the others and the rear passenger did the same. Now two visors have scratches on them already. Just a hassle to deal with being they are "brand new." I'm convinced these were sitting for a while and the tape lost is properties. Will have to buy new 3M tape to reinstall these. I had a set on my 2003 expedition for 10 years and only one came loose after about 6 years. Put new tape on and never had an issue again. ... show more
