Impact-modified acrylic material is wear-and-tear resistant and car wash safe, providing maximum durability. This is super easy to install on a Toyota Tacoma, with NO DRILLING. Photos 1 & 2 show installed. If you look close at photo 3 you will see where bugs hit the guard on my first drive of 60 miles after installation. Those bugs never hit the windshield. There were a couple, bugs, that hit the side of the windshield where the hood and bug guard curves on each end but so far I am impressed with the bugs that it does divert away from the windshield. ... show more

It was super easy to install. 6 screws and you're done. Looks great and I've always loved the function of these. Keeps tiny rocks and bugs from hitting your windshield. Can't beat it for the price. Buy one today. Low profile! Doesn't effect any field of view in my opinion which is great!

I was finally able to get my hood deflector installed a couple days ago and it took me about 15 minutes to get installed. It took me only that long because I accidentally put one of the plastic pieces that you push into the holes in your hood in the wrong place. There are a total of 8 holes under your hood but you are only supposed to use 6 of them. So make sure you put them in the correct places. It helps to just put the deflector on your hood and line them up and then push the plastic pieces in when you figure out where the holes go. So far I am very happy with the results of this. I really like the way it looks! I saw one review on here that said that they have chipped paint on their hood now because of this product and I'm not really sure how you would do that unless you had no idea what you were doing when you installed it. Also it would be pretty hard to chip your paint with this plastic. The only criticism I have with this is that they don't give you any extra hardware with this so make sure you don't lose anything; I almost lost a screw when I was installing this and I would have been...screwed. ... show more

Very nice product! I have owned several trucks and have had AVS bugshields on most of them. Here in Fl we have a lot of sand on the roads and tons of dumptrucks on the highway dropping stones. Before long the hood looks like crap from all the paint chips. This helps protect that area as well as direct air upward and deflect bugs to keep.your windshield cleaner longer. This one is pretty low profile which looks nice. ... show more

I just installed mine today and it looks great. Mine came with plastic (nylon?) nut inserts that went straight into holes on the under-side of my hood. Simply align the mounting holes in the Hoodflector and secure with supplied (6) nylon washers and (6) screws. Packaging was sufficient to protect product. I was unsure looking at pictures online how the fitment would look. I am satisfied with the fitment but it was a little different from what I expected. There is an AVS logo on the front which is difficult to make out in the product photo and I wish it wasn't there. ... show more

I bought this for my new 21 Tacoma. It fit great & was easy to install with a Phillips head screwdriver. I had to push 6 square plastic inserts into factory predrilled holes under the hood. Then set the deflector in place & screw 6 screws with washers into those inserts. That was it. It looks really good & will protect the front edge of the hood & maybe deflect a few bugs & stones over the windshield if I’m lucky. I was missing 1 of the square inserts in my parts bag. I called the 800 # on the instructions. No biggie. The robot must have miscounted. ... show more

Looks good and was easily installed. I've read some horror stories here of getting damaged, deformed, scratched, etc. and understand why, it's plastic! in time I figure there be alot of visible scratches, brand new I had a scratch or two or more I can see it's not very uniform that you'd expect like body panels on a brand new car, brand new I can see some deformity but it ain't all that bad imo. There's also some bubbles or drip like bumps in some spots that's not noticeable with the hood closed, I can live with that, lol All in All it's looks great and feels sturdy enough where I won't be using the bumpers supplied that you'd stick unto the hood's paint job. Well. My third day having it. The part came intact lol. The screws holes still have the some plastic like they didn't clean it after drilling the holes. Not a big deal but still. Installed it on my 2020 tacoma sr. Fit perfect. AVS logo came off driving 70 miles again not a big of deal. So far so good i like the look. Update: rain all last night. I got lil leak. don't expect it to be 100% leak free. Also today i went through car wash. I see lil water inside. Over all all good. ... show more
