    • In channel problem fix. No problem!
I kinda knew ahead of time that these in-channel vents have issues with window contact. So you need to be prepared to add tape or adhesive where there isn't any (like the rear of the flange). I used weather strip adhesive after installation. You'll need an extra set of hands and you need to be careful not to break the vent shade. You need to roll the weather strip out and bend the shade slightly to apply tape or adhesive. Close the window and let everything set up. Summer heat causes swelling of the weather strip so even with this fix you may encounter an occasional contact issue. Automatic "up" windows are very sensitive. Winter/cooler weather shows no issues. ... show more

Ordered for a 2018 Toyota Very poor fit and missing adhesive on all four vents 2 of the shades have cracked n broken after less then a month of installation

    • Poor fit - jammed window
This product relies on adhesive tape inside the window channel to secure itself. The tab on the rear shades do not fit entirely into the channel, so the adhesive tape is visible. Even worse, the edge of the visor catches the window as it tries to close, causing it to jam unless you use your finger to push it out of the way. When that happens, you run the risk of catching your finger on the closing window. The adhesive tape separated from the visor as I was pulling out the backing per instructions. The tape stretches, so now you have a dangly piece of tape that shows on the visor even after you've installed it. The worst part is that when trying to remove the visor, it pulled out the rubber liner from the window, forcing you to push it back in again. I can only hope it did not cause the liner to become permanently defomed. I heartily recommend you stay away from this product. ... show more

If any saw my last review I must say, I was wrong, Somewhat.. The instructions for me were not very clear, so, not all models have tape on 3 sides. The ones I bought have tape on 2 sides and one side fits on the outside of the track and the other 2 go inside the track of the window. I asked customer service to change the instructions, I hope they do. Jita, at the manufacture was very nice and handled my complaints very well, Sent me close up photos of what I needed to see, I just wish that same photo was on the instructions, The font and size of print on the instructions was a challenge as well. Since this part of the install seems to be the most important I wish they will make a new sheet using the same photo I was sent on email. ... show more

Couldn't close front windows. They don't fit in properly. Backs were ok. Tried a second set but something happened. Thankfully Amazon customer service is great and refunded me. Better off spending extra for Weathertech

A little flimsy when window is down but the "3M" tape seems to hold it against the window channel rubber molding. People have to read instructions & follow directions, if they read that the AVS tab without tape is meant to slide between the exterior window panel & the door....they wouldn't have broken vent shades! ... show more

Once you get the vents lined up in the channel installation is easy. The only part that is a little tricky is getting the piece that hangs over tucked into the channel. After that they are great, the 3M tape that comes on them holds well.

    • nice sharp look!
Installed these on a 2015 corolla, they fit very good, however the front windows could have used an extra 1/4" of plastic to cover the small gap. The plastic seems to be good quality, however, not as thick as other AVS branded windows ventsshades I've used in the past. This plastic seemed to be a bit to flexible. None the less, they do look pretty darn good, and now I can roll the window a little to let fresh air in when it rains! ... show more
