  • Fantastic little projector, with a little fuzziness around the edges, but excellent focus otherwise
Color: White
First of all, the auto-focus/auto-keystone/auto-position function is really really cool, and accurate. Not only does it do a great job, but if it fails to some degree, there's a button right on the remote to have it auto focus again. It'll look for obstructions in it's path and move the position of the image (not the actual projector) to avoid the obstruction. Also, any time the project is moved, it's automatically go into the auto-focus mode. It's nice to not have to think about that. One thing tho... The left edge of the projected image was a little fuzzy and I couldn't get it to focus like the rest of the image. The projector is also very bright (go LEDs!) and gives us a good picture even in the middle of the day (for a projector). The smart capabilities allow us to connect Netflix, Prime, Hulu, etc. and a world of other apps to stream content. Its Bluetooth let us connect a stereo system without any issues. This was actually a very easy project to set up. Everything is intuitive and plug n play. One thing that might be nice is to have it come with a stronger HDMI cable that will support HDCI. It's the cheapo kind that barely gets you off the ground (if you need HDMI. I didn't really since I stream all my content through the apps on the project directly). A few other minor issues: 1. The remote works well enough, but it's very cheap. I'm worried I'll one day push a hole through the thing just trying to change the volume. And why not send a remote with a small keyboard on it like a Roku? Typing in passwords using the arrow buttons is a big fat pain. Count on an hour or two, getting the streaming accounts set up. 2. The remote did NOT come with batteries. So I supplied my own. Not sure why this wouldn't come with a couple of AAA batteries. Most projectors do. 3. The power cord is really short and make most mobile applications difficult. I mean, if you plug this into your ceiling from a mount, that's fine, but if you want to put it up and take it down each time you use it, you have to place it close to a wall outlet. That's not usually convenient. So a longer cord would have been nice. Other than those small things, this really is a fantastic projector. My kids love setting it up and watching movies as a family on one of our blank walls. I highly recommend this one. ... show more

  • One of the nicer projectors in this range
Color: White
I'm a bit torn of this projector. There are a few things I find lacking, but also a few things that I really like about it. Overall appearance and build construction: looks and feels solid, and just the right amound of "heavy" to keep it stable and not feel cheap. All together it looks really nice and sleek. Picture: the video quality looks really good, and it is surprisingly bright in an average lit room. Easily the nicest, coolest feature of this projector is the auto focus and auto keystone. Any time you move the projector, it automatically projects a pattern onto the screen , adjusts focus for a clear picture, and then squares up the picture. I was very surprised by how crooked you can aim it and it will still correct for it. Just note that it will only look "square" from the perspective of the projector. Remote: previous products I have used sometimes have a laggy remote that feels thin and cheap. This one is decent quality and very responsive. Cons: For it to be considered "portable" I would expect a carry case or bag. Anything is "portable", but it's just not that convenient to do so. Streaming. This one is actually 50/50. So far, this is the most convenient projector I have used for screen mirroring. It comes with an app that makes it super easy to mirror your device on the projector. BUT mirroring in general is really poor for watching movies. Too much lag. So unless there is an app on the projector for what you want, you really need an hdmi cable or chrome cast dongle . Overall I am fairly pleased. I wish it was a bit more convenient, but once setup it is really nice for movie nights with the kids. ... show more

  • 5 stars. Great, great, I mean GREAT projector!
Color: Grey
This projector is great! i'm unsure of the 1st review where they had many issues...but that wasnt the case for me. Set up was smooth and easy. It didnt have your typical downloaded apps downloaded, but after opening the play store and signing into Google, installing everything from Hulu to Pluto was done with ease. We hung this up in our room, as it's much larger than our 50" TV. My husband is excited to use this for his own personal reasons...I am excited that it's a clear quality projector. It took some getting use to the controls to make it level with our dresser, but once you learn the steps to fixing the orientation it is such a super easy process. I definetly would reccomend this projector to anyone who's willing to learn the basic controls. AND for the price- WHERE ARE= YOU GOING TO FIND AN 80in+ TV for less than $300? You're not. So just buy this and embrace the learning curve. Id most certainly recommend this to anyone who's willing to sacrifice a little time to educate themselves in the program and their controls. If this isn't you, than a projector probably shouldnt be on your list of wants. You obviously dont want it that bad if your unable to take 10 minutes to learn the controls. ... show more
