First i am a retired mechanic , heavy in electronic circuits and can bus. these sensors are all built before testing , they sense frequency and report it to ecm the sensors you buy for low price are the rejects that don"t pass testing . these sensors are a sorta guess , not like a relay mechanical action , they don"t know what the exact frequency they will detect until they are built , i would guess there are tiers of rejects , these sensors could be on edge of working . after two of these ,one worked for two days and changed frequency response a little , so this sensor was close to edge of acceptable and failed . the other one was dead, you must back probe with scope to see this , not ohms but frequency. after checking this against a new one from Napa for ten times the money . i looked closely at bad one and expensive one , exactly alike except some very faint gold numbers printed on green part . worked perfect .don"t trust these as good sensors . if you look for an oem sensor on amazon they are few to be had many 12.00 dollar ones , my thoughts there are more rejects than mid specs . i don't think this seller knows this . ... show more

  • It's a crap shoot, most of the time you lose
It worked at first, for about 3 days. I guess that's the good is that it did actually work initially. The bad is that it stopped in 3 days and I then had to work my arm back up between the back of the block and the firewall. It's a pain to get to on the Accord and I'm sure any other car that uses this sensor. Honestly I've tried a hand full of these $10-15 knock senaors and they don't work at all or only for a few days. The only not-Honda replacement I've found that works is the NTK ID0087 (NGK) which is $80. ... show more

  • Failed POS!
Installed it and the check engine light with the same code came back on after driving about 50 feet! It should be illegal to sell faulty crap parts like this! I knew the price was too good to be true!

  • THIS WILL SAVE YOU LOTS OF $$$$$$$
I shopped around to all me local parts stores and the price for this sensor was about 75.00 so when I saw this one for under 10.00 I was skeptical, I installed the part in my 98 Accord 2.3 and it worked perfectly, the check engine light went off and all is good

  • Simply Does Not Work - causes P0325 Knock Sensor Malfunction
I purchased this aftermarket sensor after damaging my OEM Honda knock sensor during an engine rebuild. Upon reinstalling the engine with new sensor I was met with a P0325 diagnostic trouble code indicating a malfunction in the knock sensor circuit. I then swapped in an OEM sensor which I pulled from a local junk yard and the P0325 code has not returned. It is well known that these cheap knock sensors are commonly factory rejects from the OEM sensor producers which do not operate in the correct frequency range. Learn from my experience. ... show more

  • Defective sensors
The sensors I got, and i ordered 2 just incase 1 was bad, both were open circuits. No resistance at all. Checked continuity on the wire from the sensor and ecu and it is within spec. I rebuilt the engine and wanted to add all new sensors. The crank sensor I bought from yall works. So I was surprised. Wish I could get my money back but I just figured it out and its pass the window so just wanted to let yall know that the sensors were defective. BOTH. Crazy! ... show more

  • Gets the job done for about a month.
Didn't expect much for a not OEM Sensor. Bought on October 31st and installed first week of November. On January 11th the knock sensor has broken again. Save your money and buy the oem sensor. Unless you rather buy these every two months.

  • Great Part and Awesome Price!
What a deal! Fit and functions perfectly! Connector fits nice and tight, but not too tight. Turned of the check engine light (knock sensor code) and has kept it off for three months now.
