This tool worked perfectly and I was able to program a replacement key for 2020 Acura MDX without any issues on first try. Autel has great video tutorials on how to use this tool and I definitely recommend it for anyone that needs to program keys. It came with everything I needed the programmer OBD adapter and even comes with two universal remotes. The only thing it doesn't come with is batteries for remotes.

The Autel KM100 is an awesome key and key fob programmer at an incredible price. It can pull key pin codes, program chipped keys (including all keys lost) ,program key fobs and is a code reader. It also does special functions. It doesn't do every make and model but it does do most of them. Just remember to contact autel and they will let you know if it will work on your vehicles. They also have some of the best customer service I have ever dealt with. I also own there MK906PRO-TS another incredible tool from autel.

Did exactly what I needed to program additional keys for my pickup, easy to use and follow guided directions. Also found the transponder and frequency detection handy to be able to check keys and fobs for correct chips and frequency before I program them.

I tried to add new remotes for 3 different cars and ran into issues every time. I haven’t gotten this mad at a piece of tech in ages. Basically I just spent $500 for junk. Oh, and it’s past my return window. Let me go into some detail. First I updated everything, then I tried to add a remote for a 2009 Buick Lacrosse. I tried the Reading/Cloning function and that didn’t work. Next I tried the OBD port and after hours of watching video tutorials and reading the instruction manual, I got to the add remote function. The device said to hold the lock and unlock buttons down so I did that. Nothing happened. I tried it on 3 different fobs - same result. Next I tried the same process on a 2012 Kia Rio. Once again, the Read/Clone function couldn’t detect the original fob so on to the OBD method. This time I got all the way to the “Hot controls” or whatever it’s called, then it got stuck and timed out on establishing a vehicle connection. I didn’t get any further than that. Finally I tried the read/clone on a 2019 Nissan Altima and it read the key! Then I try to clone it and suddenly it tells me it can’t read the original key. Hopefully someone will read this and decide against wasting their money on this thing. I’ve sure learned my lesson.

Update: I was able to get it working with another Reset to Factory. Tool seems to be working fine. They did get back to my email next day (on the weekend) so glad they care. Initial Review when I got stuck. Needed to program couple of keys. Activated the tool. All good. Seems fine. Registered the device. Did software update few days ago. It was fine. Saw another update so did it. After updates, started getting some 'personal data crash" every time I opened Update App and other apps. So I did factory reset from Settings. After the reset, its look fine but open any app it says please log in but there is no way to login. it says "Autel User center" not detected. Called tech support but they are closed for the weekend. Not happy. This item should be able to handle updates. I am stuck. Paid $80 extra to get this item from Amazon so i will have it for weekend.

This autel km100x is a wonderful tool to add to my tool box ... I was able to do all keys lost on my 2012 dodge charger ... Autel help me by email with the akl they are so helpful just great service all around... I would buy any product autel sale..
