The top is much thinner than pictured. There is some gaping at the bust. I can't size up because the 24 would be too big.

I ordered this because I've been looking for a good classic chiffon blouse that can be super-flexible in my wardrobe--tucked in as a blouse under a blazer or cardigan, tucked into jeans, left as a tunic over leggings, or worn open as a vest over a cami or tee and a maxi skirt. The options are endless, especially in a classic neutral like white or navy; I chose white as I have a lot of solid navy clothes in my wardrobe, and outfits need contrast. The fabric is a classic polyester chiffon, double-layered so as not to be too sheer, though dark bras will still show through if you're pasty pale like I am. The bustline has a couple of inches of room, and the blouse flares from there just enough to hide larger hips, though I don't think it would work for extreme pear shapes. The second layer stops a few inches short of the bottom one, which helps to draw the eye up toward the waist rather than lingering on the hips; that helps to make it flattering on most women, even in white which can make hips look quite wide if such distraction techniques aren't employed. Since I'm currently losing weight (early stages of ideally dropping 120-150 pounds) and can't usually afford to replace clothes every time I drop a size, I'm always looking for items that have potential to be tailored to fit a smaller size over the next couple of years; sleeveless blouses are a style that's fairly easy to rework, just needing some modifications in the armhole and side seams to be tailored down. ... show more

The blouse is so cute and looks just as pictured. The issue is if you’re busty like me, you must size up twice. I typically wear 18-20 spending on the cut. I ordered a 22 and it’s still snug at the top 2 buttons, and I had on my best bra but without shapewear. I am a full D cup of that helps. Also, my body shape is top heavy (wider back, big arms) and the arms and shoulder area fit well. I would purchase this blouse. Very cute. ... show more
