I bought two sets of lights (Red/Amber and Red/White) to use on my 280ZX (because original tail light lenses are expensive) and these look great. Warning: These arrive with NO instructions, nothing. No paperwork, nothing that indicates which wire does what. As others have noted, these do NOT use a standard trailer light plug. Instead the wire leads are hard-wired to the light. This is fine with me as it means I can pin on Deutsch connectors for my needs. So here is how the wiring works out for these lights: Red/Amber set: Black = Common Ground Brown = +V for red running lights Red = +V for brake lights (brighter than running lights) Yellow = +V for amber turn signal Red/White set: Black = Common Ground Brown = +V for red running lights Red = +V for brake lights (brighter than running lights) White = +V for white back-up/reverse light UPDATE: As others have noted, the grommets that come with these lights are far too hard to be of real use. Do yourself a favor and buy some good brand grommets (Grote, Superbright, Optronics, etc.) and use those instead. As for the statements made by some about there being a not very big difference in brightness between the red running lights and the brake lights, I am wondering if an in-line dropping resistor on the running light wire would help lower their brightness levels to create more contrast in brightness to the brake lights. ... show more

The holes in the GV panel have to be wollared out a bit. By about 5 or 6 millimetres. But no modifications need to be done to the lights! Be sure to install a load equalizer in your Blinker circuit and you are good to go. These are very bright, and there is a VERY distinct differentiation between the break and tail lights, which was something I was worried about being an issue. However it wasn't. Ill give these 5 stars for the low price and the quality of the product you get for it. They are really a bargain. I've had them in the car for a couple of months now and have had zero issues. ... show more

I like that they are very bright, fit perfectly in the custom housings and were very easy to install. These are exposed to the elements front and rear sides and already caked in mud they proved the seal was intact and reliable
