  • AUKUYEE Updated 2.4" TFT Digital Oscilloscope. Good value for an inexpensive troubleshooting tool.
This is the second one of these handheld scopes I have purchased (the first one was exactly the same, but a different brand). I purchased these because I just wanted a small handheld tool for troubleshooting that provides more information than a VOM or DVM. For this, these work rather well, especially for an oscilloscope that costs less than $50. PROS: Small, inexpensive basic oscilloscope that works reasonably well. Trigger works well on either rising or falling signals; auto, normal, and single trigger work well. The display has sufficient resolution for reasonably faithful representation of signals. I also purchased a 9V battery adapter cable, so I have true handheld portability. CONS: 1. This particular unit has a sufficiently high input capacitance that I am unable to properly compensate the cheap 60 MHz oscilloscope probe that I had purchased to use with this scope. 200 MHz scope probes will not compensate for this high input capacitance. So, the amplitude of any signal (or signal harmonic) greater than possibly 10 kHz will be incorrect. (I was able to compensate the same model 60 MHz probe on the first oscilloscope that I had purchased.) Since I am interested in troubleshooting signals of lower frequency than 10 kHz, this error does not bother or invalidate my troubleshooting, but it is a bit irksome. 2. The screen is much too small to make accurate voltage measurements. 3. The numbers on the screen get in the way of voltage measurements. I have yet to figure out how to shut off the numbers displayed. Allow me to repeat that I purchased these solely for the purpose of troubleshooting, for which I require neither high bandwidth nor high accuracy. For those applications for which I require high bandwidth or high accuracy, I have other oscilloscopes to use. However, for those who need accuracy and higher bandwidth, these will not work well. Thus, I assign a rating of 4 stars rather than 5 stars. But then, one should not expect high accuracy and high bandwidth for an oscilloscope that is this inexpensive. ... show more

  • Worked good
I tuned my setup for max bass without clipping and this did perfectly, couldn't tune my highs with it to save my life though. I tried everything and spent alot of time and could never get anything to come up in any of the modes for my 1k hz tuning. Only would pick up waves for lower frequency like 300hz and below.   • Not bad not perfect
I’m using this primarily for auto diagnosis and it worked just fine for diagnosing my alternator issues. It has a built in function generator on the top that at first I thought was kind of useless but realized it was nice to have just to get a hang of the settings. Setting is 1khz-80khz and adjustable duty cycle. Overall it has everything you’d need for basic work, it’s quick enough and easy to use for automotive purposes. The only gripe I have with it is that there is not a manual horizontal shift. It automatically fits the horizontal time axis. There is a vertical shift on the voltage scale. This isn’t a critical issue but it would be nice to manually set horizontally. It looks like the previous version had this option and it was replaced with the function generator settings in the button presses/menus. Overall not bad and does what I need it to do. ... show more

  • Super convenient design, useful up to about 100 kHz
It's a cute and very useful product. I found the measurements to be actually pretty decently accurate and the useable frequency range is up to maybe 100 kHz, at that rate you are still getting enough samples on each wave period. The best part about this is how easy to use it is. There is one button per major function mode, and a second press activates an alt function (e.g. zoom vs pan). The knob adjusts the parameter in question. I didn't read any documentation and had it mastered in a minute. It's a very basic device, there are no on screen menus, and considering its size and cost I really like that. Measurements are displayed automatically but there's enough room on the screen to still see what you're measuring. It's good for audio signal work, I haven't looked at it in detail but the included probe looks like it is doing its job very well. The screen graphics get redrawn, oh, maybe in the neighborhood 8 to 12 times per second, and it's not a screen buffered device so you can see a flicker, but I didn't find it bothersome. Some quirks: If you pan the time axis all the way to the left there is a single place where waveforms are drawn with a little 'tear' in them, but it's really not a big deal and you have to go looking for it. If you turn the encoder fast the device will not read your input, so just turn it at normal steady rate. ... show more
