  • The real deal
Size: Detachable Pockets Color: Black
This thing is the real deal, I purchased it because I live in my van and needed to drop the size of my tool storage and this passed the test with flying colors. Best of the best quality. I have the removable pouches since I didn't want to carry around all of my tools for a job that only requires the tools in one pouch, and I can recommend that upgrade enough. The tool roll now weighs more than I can safely carry in one arm and is as sturdy as ever. Cordura is no joke, and Atlas keeps no secrets about the premium materials used for this. When other brands merely claim to be quality, Atlas shows the receipts for top if the line name brand materials that guarantee a high level of performance. I hope I never need to buy another one and short of losing it, I can't imagine I will need to ... show more

  • You won't go wrong with this tool bag.
Size: Attached Pockets Color: Black
So I have had this for six months now. I use it everyday in a realatively harsh environment. It has stood up very well with exception of one point. The rings that hold the strap broke within one week. I replaced them with small steel carabiners that resolved the problem. This is the only problem I have had. The ones that came with it may not have been designed for the extent I use the bag. I carry it 10 hrs a day, 4 days a week, up and down ladders, sliding it under conveyors, etc. So the strap takes a beating. I carry about 40# of tooling in it with no signs of wear or holes in the bag. The three recommendations I would give are 1) the rings be changed to steel carabiners 2) the strap be wider and 6" longer for easier carrying on the shoulder for long periods (maybe a padded strap option) when adjusted to carry it on my shoulder the plastic buckle sits right on my collar bone 3) the connecting points where the rings attach to the bag be moved a little further to the ends to allow easier entry to the bag. Where it is currently, it interferes with zippers and the handle. Other than this I would have given 5 stars. Top notch product. Would highly recommend. ... show more

  • Quality product worth the price
Size: Attached Pockets Color: Coyote Brown
This tool roll holds so much. Perfect for a vehicle took set, off roading, a side job bag, or in place of a tool box or bag. The pullstrap function is amazing and, using your tool roll as a mat for your workspace, you can quickly pick up your tools in one sweep. The quality of the canvas material is top notch. The Velcro is strong and never lets up. The only thing that is of lesser quality is the should strap, but you can use the pull strap for the quick clean up as a should strap too. The pricetag is high but the quality backs it up. Try out a cheaper tool roll first if you don't know if you like using tool rolls, otherwise this is the best one you'll get. ... show more

  • Strap through eyelet backwards. Twice!
Size: Attached Pockets Color: Coyote Brown
When my tool roll arrived the cute strap that rolls it automatically when you lift with it was through one eyelet backwards. I thought that this was a manufacturing defect and returned it for a replacement, but the replacement had the exact same problem, and even on the same side! The images on this page do NOT show the strap going through the eyelet like this, so I do think it is a defect. In fact, it causes binding. And no, there is no way to detach the strap and mount it correctly, since it is sewn in place. Am I wrong? Is it supposed to be this way? (I really don't think so.) EDIT- Aha! I spoke with Altas 46 customer service, and it turns out that you CAN un-mount the straps and put them back on the correct way. The brass-looking O-rings that the strap connects to (not the eyelets) is actually a sort of a carabiner, so you can unhook it, re-thread the strap correctly, and re-hook it. I didn't see this at first and thought that the brass ring was solid because the hinge is quite small and was covered by the strap. ... show more

  • Well made, too many straps.
Size: Attached Pockets Color: Coyote Brown
Good quality, primary storage are pockets versus slots which have their plusses and minuses. Although the build quality is good, the material thickness is not as sturdy as other less costly tool rolls. Time will tell if it holds up to the heavy metal tools jiggling around in the pockets? Obviously, military-inspired however, the number of straps is a little hectic, causing tangling, buckles jamming in brass rings, etc. when in only two twists of each hand and its rolled up, buckled and ready to go, without the need of additional straps. I can imagine the military mechanic coming under enemy fire, running to the Blackhawk, having failed to fix the hum-v, grabbing the fast role strap of his tool bag, not realizing his foot was caught in the loop, as he yanks harder he snares his right leg, having to hop on his left while keeping his head low... oh well! Velcro patch stitched in corner preventing the flap from sticking down, not figured out what it's for or whether an error (see the last photo where velcro pile meets pile - no velcro hook to fasten to the pile? ... show more

  • Great tool roll
Size: Attached Pockets Color: Coyote Brown
This tool roll is pretty expensive. Right off the bat, you will feel kind of bad after you hit the purchase button but don't worry. upon arrival, I was pretty excited to start using it and went crazy transferring all my tools from my old harbor freight tool bag. This thing keeps way more tools than my previous tool bag. If I have any complaints is only that I wish it was wider to accommodate longer wrenches. ... show more
