I don't get enough protein in my diet as a lacto-ovo pescatarian (vegetarian that eats dairy and fish) as I limit my fish intake to three times a week only so I don't get as much mercury as a thermometer. My doctor implored me to start drinking a high protein supplement when taking my medication and for a snack as I had also limited my dairy due to high sodium. These were great for my son while healing from surgery and couldn’t eat much. He said they taste very good and kept him full and satisfied. I am his elderly mom and drink these when I have a hard time eating. I usually drink these when smaller Atkins protein drinks daily. They taste good as well. I have only tried the vanilla and chocolate drinks though. Not very thick and there is no stomach discomfort. The quality is great. ... show more

Overall this seems to be a good product. I like the flavor. It makes a quick and convenient meal replacement for those trying to lose weight. However recently the plastic spout attached to the cartons tends to leak where it attaches to the carton. I first encountered this problem a month or so ago and it is very annoying. ... show more

These Atkins protein drinks are really good on the go. When I am running late and can't stop for lunch, I grab one of these to tide me over. They are low carb and low sugar, and I appreciate that. There are two cons. First, the vanilla flavor comes in a larger size than the other flavors. That's great if I am at home and can throw the rest of it in the refrigerator. Not so great on the road when I have to toss some of it because it will go bad before I get to a refrigerator. That's like throwing away money. The second con is a personal preference for something less sweet. I don't have much of a sweet tooth. I often cut the vanilla shake with milk or coffee or even chai tea to take away some of the sweet. Of course that also reduces the protein per ounce, but it makes them more palatable to me. My favorite is their coffee latte flavor, but they have caffeine and after about 2:00 in the afternoon, vanilla is my preference. ... show more

I like to partially freeze mine for a thick milkshake consistency, so good especially during warmer weather. I get this every month on my subscribe & save account. I'm in my 70's, so this helps me get my daily vitamins & minerals, along with some protein. Although I do wish it had a higher percentage of protein. Best tasting protein shake on the market, in my opinion. Of course the price could be better, but, with the economy, Amazon has the best price, especially when taking advantage of Subscibe & Save. ... show more
