  • More comfortable than Keen, less than 1/2 the price
I've owned the Keen version of this sandal for about 3 years and they are whipped. I saw this brand and at $30 a pair, I figured I'd take a shot. Pro -Fit as expected - I wear a 10 , ordered a 10 and it fit fine. I have wide feet so I wasn't sure until I wore these for 2-3 days -I can't tell them from Keen build wise, by appearance or overall quality -More comfortable for me than my old Keens which had less support -Less than 1/2 the price Con None so far - I'll see how they hold up and report back I attached a photo with my old Keen sandals at the bottom and the Atika look alikes at the top. The pull loop on the right Keen ripped loose 3 days after I got them. My cat seems to prefer the Atika but with cats you never know. ... show more

  • Good fit; Bad heel design.
Three stars. I purchased these sandals for walking 3 - 6 miles a day in the warm sub-tropical area where I live. Fit is good, and the bungee across the top is effective in tightening the sandal across the top of the foot. The biggest design problem is in the heel; specifically the hard black portion of the sole that sticks up higher in the heel at the back than the soft gray part. After a day or two of wearing and walking, this hard black rubber in the back began digging into my heels on every step and gave me some extremely nasty blisters on each foot in the spot where the sole of the foot begins to curve up to meet the back of my heel. I was able to fix this design flaw myself with my dremel tool to essentially file down the portion of the hard black rubber that extended up in the back. Once that was gone and my blisters healed, they've been just fine. ... show more

  • Excellent value! Buying another pair.
I've worn these sandals/shoes probably about 350 days over the last year since I purchased them. Yup. Almost everyday. I've pretty much given up regular shoes. I hate socks. I wear these to jobs as a videographer. Since I live in California it's no big deal. I also wore these in the rain, because I find that once I get inside my feet will dry faster than if I was wearing wet shoes and socks. Really doesn't matter if it's a bit cold outside. Some kind of old wives tale about keeping your feet warm. Baloney. Keep your head covered and your core warm and feet don't matter so much (if you're in decent shape with all your parts working). I've also hiked and bouldered with them. They're finally getting to the point I need to replace them. For regular people who might only wear these in nice weather on the weekends, you'll get years of use out of them. ... show more

  • Super happy. Very Comfortable, lightweight, yet study...
First of all, there are at least 3 or 4 different designs of sandals in this family advertised under the same entry. I noticed and bought two as a comparison. I bought the first one entered in the photo selection -the one with the nylon looking side straps and the one with the full leather style side straps. The ones with nylon texture looking side straps feature a fixed heel strap and tighten only from the instep -but they are totally snug when I tighten them down. I love them. The second pair I bought are the ones that appear to have more solid 'leather' style sides. Notably, they tighten from the instep AND the heel. They feel great , snug, comfortable and sold also! However, in my opinion the ones with the nylon style sides and fixed heel are most snug and comfortable. You can tell them apart by looking at the side photos. Some of them clearly have nylon side straps, and the other type is more solid leather looking. In my oppinion, the nylon side strap ones are more snug and comfortable -but I love them both and Im keeping them both! ... show more

  • Say goodbye to blisters
Color: Orbital All Terrain Dusty Olive Size: 8
I love to hike/backpack. Living in the Pacific Northwest there are plenty of opportunities for these activities. As I've begun to age the feet just get blisters so easily. I've tried so many things. But they just don't help. So this was next on the list. This past weekend I went on a short backpacking trip. 2 miles in to Oval Lake (Mt Hood Nat'l Forest). I brought these sandals as a backup to one more attempt at taping and using Second Skin. Still was working on heal blisters as I approached the destination. Put these sandals on (with hiking socks - great look) and the relief was immediate. The next morning we hiked 2 miles to Lookout Mountain. 2 miles back to camp. 2 miles (with backpack) back to the trailhead. FEET FELT GREAT!! I haven't been on a hike in recent years where I've felt this good. The bottom of my feet didn't even hurt. The soles are rather hard. Not a lot of cushion there. But I'm not complaining. I felt great after the 6 miles on Saturday and was ready to go for more. Did I get rocks under my feet? Twice. Small little things. Got them right out and kept on going. ... show more

  • Great sandal for non-sandal people
First off, I am not a person that likes flip-flops or sandals. I don't really like the way my feet look and I've always been more comfortable in sneakers. But on a recent trip I went kayaking for the first time and really liked it, so I figured I'd better find something I can wear in the water. I had a pair of aqua shoes a long time ago and didn't like them because sand would always get trapped inside them and I'd spend half my time taking them off and cleaning them out. So I decided to see what kind of sandal I could find. I looked at all the more expensive sandals and they all seemed great, but I didn't want to jump right into them. So these ATIKA sandals looked pretty good, and being a third of the price was nice too, so I decided to give them a try. I ordered my normal shoe size and it fit very well, little loose in the back but I can adjust that strap to make it more snug if I need it. I've been wearing them a lot now since it's summer and I gotta say, this is my new go-to shoe for warm weather. It's easy to take on & off and pretty comfortable. I haven't been kayaking yet, but they seem pretty stable and I can't wait to try them out there! Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase and would recommend these sandals for anyone looking for a less expensive option to try and see if they like them. ... show more
