  • Not well designed
As a basic desk mount this stand is adequate at best. It has held up for a couple of years only because it received very little stress. Just shy of two years since its purchase, the 3/16 inch piece of plastic that holds the shock mount to its base just gave out. I'll call it a stress fracture. The design would have been better had the manufacturer simply spent another 50 cents and used metal for this key part. ... show more

  • Falls over on a dime.
As far as microphone stands go, it's fine. Like, it works and does the job as described. The base is made of super cheap aluminum and has no weight to it. If you're using it with a real microphone, it will be very top heavy and will tip over constantly.

  • Exactly what I paid for
The mic stand is pretty stable, dont have to worry about it falling over on me. I smacked my desk a few times with my fist and it didnt tip over. If you push it towards yourself itll have a chance to fall but really having it there in use it wont fall. Ive raised it all the way up and have it all the way down with no tipping issues. The little circle thing you use to put the shock mount on is easy to twist off incase you think about changing shock mounts. Im using a different shock mount than the one that came with it but the one that arrived with the stand is fairly good. Once the shock mount is on, it is easy to raise the mic up and down it even has a twist lock thing to keep it at the height you want. ... show more

  • keeps falling over
The threads in the base of the one do not grip at all. The 'telescopic rod' keeps falling through the base and leaning to the side. While trying to loosen the top so I can change how the mic was positioned I accidentally unscrewed it too far and have been fighting the nut to keep it in place while I screw it fully back in. ... show more

  • Great for the price
It was a little light for me so I added a magnet to the bottom for so extra weight, I am very happy with my purchase

  • I tips over too easily when microphone is attached
It’s very heavy duty and strong, but the base needs to be bigger. Once you attach your microphone, it tips over way too easily. I have to duct tape it down when using it.

  • The AT2035 is too heavy for this stand. The screw stripped on the first day.
The AT2035 is too heavy for this stand. It slouches, and the adjusting screw stripped immediately on first use.

  • low stability
my mic is too heavy for the stand to not fall over which is really frustrating and i wish there was the ability to raise and lower the stand at will. poor stability but good quality materials for the price.
