  • Excellent Gaming PC for Development and VR
I purchased this pc for two reasons: 1. Software development (Unity, etc) for work 2. Gaming PCVR to Quest 2. This machine is great. It’s fast, stable, and has a nice refresh rate. This machine had the best specs for the money and I’m glad I went with it. The only thing I don’t like is how loud the fan gets, but it’s to be expected with this type of machine. Most people lean toward the Razer machines, but I’ve had enough of them at work to realize that they’re just not that reliable. They look cool, but this machine is much better! Runs PCVR to Quest 2 flawlessly via Virtual Desktop and runs Unity for development with ease. Highly recommend it. ... show more

  • Piece of XXXX
It is a $1800 laptop and it always fails to sleep when I close the lid. UPDATE 7/25/2022: Sometimes the wifi would stop working after waking up from sleep. No way to make it work again unless completely restart the laptop, which takes a few minute and is very annoying. What a piece of cxxx. Also, again, the sleep problem. Sometimes when I wake up my laptop (like 20 minutes after I close the lid) I found out that the laptop is restarted, and all my open windows/apps/projects closed. Why is it so hard to make the fkkk sleep work? It is something that every other manufacturers are able to get it right since like 5 years ago. UPDATE 7/29/2022: Forgot to mention that, the fingerprint reader does not work at all, so do not bother. Always fails to recognize my fingerprint. And guess what happens if when I try to register my fingerprint again? ...... The system says that the new fingerprint is too similar to the one before! Genius. UPDATE 9/12/2022: The screen is flicking after waking!! No way so resolve this issue! I have had this enough. My conclusion: do not buy this laptop if you intent to use if for anything other than gaming. It is just intolerably bad for any non-gaming tasks. ... show more

  • LOVE IT
Arrived really fast (ordered from Ireland ) and it wasn't damaged or anything which was one of the things I was worried about getting it all the way from the US. because of how expensive they price all the way here and its specs this was reasonable for me. There has been no QC issues so far and The pc performance works great so I've used it for light gaming and college related work and its really strong one thing I noticed that might bug people is the fan noise it can get really loud and temperatures get up to 90 C on turbo while playing games which can be normal but can also be dropped down all the way to 60-70 c by tweaking some things I googled but normally when its quiet ITS quiet like no noise for me at all other than that I'm really satisfied with it. ... show more

  • Superb, put it simply
Absolutely wonderful laptop, ASUS did a great job with the thermal performance - allowing the laptop to run at maximum clock speeds throughout excel calculations or simulations. The 8-cores and 16 thread AMD CPU keeps productivity high, while keeping fan speeds down thanks to its great TDP. I was able to upgrade my memory to 40Gb, sadly 8Gb is soldered on - for the future a second M.2 SSD is planned for backup. Because of this upgrade I was able to disable Windows Paging file for additional performance and to boost SSD longevity. Battery life is good, 5-6 hours away from a socket keeps this laptop mobile around anywhere. The 1440p 165Hz display gives a great balance between sharpness and smoothness, feeling snappy and good color accuracy! My only real complaint is the locked BIOS, not allowing me to change RAM memory frequency. ... show more

  • Honest review after 2-3 weeks of having it
So some reviews I had read before buying this laptop tended to complain about the Fingerprint recognizer and fans. 1.) FingerPrint Recongnizer: I will say before I updated this laptop to windows 11 home I had no longer any problems with the fingerprint recognizer anymore. It does come with windows 10 but it's compatible with windows 11 and you can upgrade it right in the settings. 2.) Fans: This laptop is quite most of the time for me but I live in Florida so it is generally hot and the temperature tends to stay around the late 50s-60s celsius range for me regularly but the fans aren't on until it hits late 70s-80s celsius. The fans do get quite loud on long gaming sessions like 3+ hours but it still runs fine. I play with a headset anyways so it doesn't bother me. I've been playing games from Elden Ring, Cod, Horizon Forza 5, GTA 5, and a few others on High Settings and they run great. I've modded certain games and it also runs just fine. For a gaming laptop, this is great and I enjoy it, prolly the best purchase you can make for the price. ... show more

  • This thing shreds games.
So I bought a razer laptop here in 2021. It arrived basically dead on arrival. I thought no big deal, got a replacement. Razer sent me a second computer that had a different horrible problem. Then their customer service was a garbage fire. That’s what brought me to this. I bought this computer since my entire desktop pc build was using asus parts. Man they hit it out of the park with this laptop. If you are on the fence on what brand you should get, don’t be. Asus is the way to go. This thing plays every game I’ve thrown at it at ultra graphics with rtx on (when available) and it handles it with no problem. Things to know. The thing gets pretty loud when pushing the machine. But it stays pretty cool considering it’s this thin. There is no webcam, but it does have a finger print sensor for fast log in. Another big con here, because of the shortage of gaming hardware this seller is doing a bit of a price gouge. Msrp on this thing is supposed to be 1800ish. So I’d wait it out if you wanna buy it for the right price. But if you need something now I highly recommend. ... show more

  • Stop working in less than a year - Suspicious
Avoid buying this product used. Used it for light gaming for less than a year and the laptop has essentially stopped working. Got it looked at by a repair shop and its dead. Look up the issues ASUS motherboards have been having. My laptop is stuck at 10% cpu usage and the dreaded 400mhz issues thanks to ASUS and their terrible bios. Of course the warranty is expired and the laptop was already registered by the previous owner. Save yourself the trouble, buy new and don't buy an ROG. ... show more
