  • Full Refund for my purchase
After a liquid spill accident, Asurion was quick to send us a package to send back our laptop. After a day of repair attempts, full refund for the laptop, and we ordered a new one. I cannot be happier with their service.

  • Be Careful
My brand new PC suffered a full HD failure after 3 months. Firs time ever. I contacted Asurion and they informed me that I qualified for a full replacement of the HD and the services. Nice people. I was given record and told to choose my service center and they would reimburse me for the the fees as long as they did not exceed the full price of the PC. Fair enough! I drove 2 hours to a service center in Denver (Best Buy), then followed their advice. One HD replacement for $350 and it cost me a $200 service fee. This was done at Best Buy and I bought a Geek Squad protection protection program which covered all service fees regardless of how much they cost. it was a good deal. I saved $200 or so - or so they told me. Asurion refused to pay for the service fees saying that it conflicted with their warranty. I have called them 4 times on the matter and no resolution. So - 4 hours of driving - (2 hours in drop it off and 2 hours back which includes gas fees that they do not reimuburse), I saved them about $200. They paid the HD fee but refused to pay the services - by the way, no one informed me that I could not by the Geek Squad protection program even thought I clearly asked that if I could take it to Best Buy. IThey said it was all ok and that it did not matter. It was my choice. Be warned. This is insurance claim garbage and unprofessional. This is how the make more money. Do not buy the Geek Squad protection program if you choose to have it fixed at Best Buy. Pay for the services regardless of if they are more expensive than the annual fee at BB - that way you MAY get reimbursed. Good Luck! ... show more

  • I will always add this to my laptops
I am very impressed. I had to use this insurance for a cracked screen, and I was afraid there would be red tape or it would take too long, but the hardest part of filing the claim was flipping the computer over to read the serial and model numbers (i.e. ridiculously easy). With that info they told me immediately that it was fully covered and they could repair it, and sent me a box with packing material to send in the laptop. The packing material arrived one or two days later, with a prepaid UPS label. It took me a few days to send it in because I kept forgetting to get a drive to back up everything and delete my personal files, but once I did, I took the packed computer to a UPS store and waited. They notified me the next day that they received it, two days later they emailed me saying it was fixed and they were shipping it back to me, and the morning after it was at my door. The plan cost me less than 10% of the price of the laptop, and the best part is that if it gets cracked again before the end of the two years, I'm still covered. Amazing. ... show more

  • Prompt repairs
My son dropped his hella expensive laptop face down from a countertop and broke it. Thanking my stars we got the protection plan on it, I filed a claim and they sent me a box to send it in for repair very quickly. There was a small delay caused by needing to order parts but they notified me immediately of this. 1 day after being informed repairs were complete, I received the computer back.   • Simple, quick, and easy
I never thought I'd review a product, but I'm greatly appreciative of this protection plan. My gaming laptop (about $1500) just broke down after almost a year of use. I first sent it to Asus since it was still under warranty, but it was determined customer-induced damage so I'd have to pay about $1100. I then turned to Asurion for help and began the process of sending my laptop. The process was basically: Start a claim > Fill a form regarding customer information and laptop details > Proof of purchase of laptop and protection plan > Wait for the package (up to 5 business days) > Send the package back with the broken device. I didn't spend a dime in that whole process. The day after they received my laptop it was considered unrepairable and so I was reimbursed the full amount for my laptop.   • Poor Customer Service Poorly Done Repair
We had to send the laptop in for a repair in December, 2023. Although the issue was resolved, the laptop came back with additional problems. We had to submit a second claim to have the laptop repaired a second time in January, 2024. It is not clear whether the new damage is from their ervice department or form shipping. The customer service I received during the second repair was among the worst I have ever experienced. When I called to check on the claim status, I was told three different things by three different representatives. At one point they transfered me to the freight department, which caused even more confusion. If Amazon had any other choice for their product insurance plans I would definitely not use Asurion. ... show more
