  • Switch between consoles
I recently bought a PS5 and was hoping to continue using my green astro a50's I've been using on Xbox. It was hard to find a lot of information online but buying this base WILL let you use your a50's (blue or green) on the PS5 ... But you also need an HDMI adapter so you can plug in an optical cable. Now I can just set my headset on the corresponding base of the console I want to play and it will sync. Works great! ... show more

  • This base station did not power on so it had to go back, bummer.
The A50's are amazing. I have each of them for Xbox and PS4 and they sound amazing but my PS4 base went out after scant use, but since I played more Xbox I ignored it. Now I'm back to PS4 as primary and was hoping I could get a used one but this one did not power on. I believe the actual headphones cross connect to each proprietary base station but the actual base stations only connect to their respective platforms; eg an Xbox A50 base station does not work on a PS4 console however, the headphones are interchangeable. Bummer on this replacement base station not working. ... show more

  • Product Review
I received my Playstation Edition A50 Base today. The base was the correct Edition. The base has scratches and dents on the edges but in good working condition otherwise. The base hooked up easily and connected immediately to my existing A50 headset. The lights on the front of the base are bright and clear. Just received item today and no issues so far. ... show more

  • Great replacement
I have had my A50's for a few years, gen 1's. The base station finally died. This was a great replacement. Works great right out of the box.

  • Can use one headset for Xbox and PS4
I have the Xbox one A50, I bought the base so I could use them with my PS4 as well. Is easy to use. Once the base is pluged to the PS4, place the headset on the base and it will sync automatically. If need to use it for the XBox, just place it on the Xbox A50 base and it will sync.

  • Works great!
Does its job! Same minor issues you get with the Xbox/PC version but you can rest assure that if you have the Xbox version it will work just as well with this one, with no drop in quality.

  • No need to buy this...
If you have the Xbox A50 gen3 set then the base that came with that will work with the PS4. You just need to switch the button on the side to PC. There, saved you $150.

  • WiFi Interference is terrible
I love the A50 headphones and base station, headset is comfortable and sound quality is great. Frequently though my sound will cut in and out. I looked through a bunch of online forums and contacted the company and basically if you have any form of strong WiFi signal your screwed. Astro was not particularly helpful with this matter. Personally I would recommend either getting a different headset or going with the A40s. You have to get the mix amp to get the same features you get with the A50s and base station. ... show more
