This cup is good. It is as good as a yeti cup. But yeti has stainless steel inside and this has a ceramic lining. What does that mean? Well if you have teeth fillings that are amalgam (silver) you will feel and taste some metal in your beverage when you drink from a stainless steel mug. I had been hunting for months to find a 12 oz insulated mug that was not stainless steel. This is exactly what I wanted! The ceramic coating means that my coffee doesn't have a weird metallic taste. It keeps warm coffee warm for about 3 hours, boiling hot water stays hot about 5. I only ever hand wash it as I don't want the ceramic coating to chip. Cleans very easily. Cons-lid is not completely spill proof. If you tip the cup upside down it will leak. Otherwise it does seal well, my toddler has knocked it over and it didn't spill. Too large for a cup holder if that's a concern. Slide-open top does get loose, sometimes falls open. Non-microwavable ... show more

Originally I gave this mug a 4 b/c it works great and hot things stay hot for 1-3 hours especially if you keep the mouth piece closed. I would like it to be a little bigger as I drink 14 oz. in morning but the lid takes up some room so I prepare my coffee in a large mug, drink some and then pour it into here. The four became a 3 when after 3 months of use the sliding part that allows you to drink or keep it closed is now loose and just flops back and forth even while you're drinking. Honestly it doesn't keep my coffee warm that long. People were RAVING over this item and how it kept their coffee warm for over an hour. Mine was cold by the time I got to work! I didn't like it at all. I didn't like the lid either. It's pretty cheap compared to the whole cup. I also wasn't too fond of the handle. It is an odd shape that is a bit difficult to hold. This cup works very well. I wish it was a little larger as I use a liquid cream in my coffee and there is barely enough room for it if I use my Keurig on the larger setting. Very nice to have coffee warm to the bottom of the cup though!!

I was quiet pleased with this mug, first off Ive had a lot of bad experiences with vacuum sealed thermoses. They tend to easily lose its vacuum. You know it when you feel the side and its warm or hot. However after using this mug for 3 months it has not lost its vacuum, and a matter of fact I dropped it once onto a hard floor thinking that must have broken the seal.. Nope! So this product not only looks nice but its built well. I never thought this would happen because I hate hand washing things, but I cannot go back to my normal mugs now, every time I use them my coffee gets cold so fast as Im a slow drinker (an hour or 2). I usually dont use lid as it still holds in the heat really well, but with the lid it the temperature will remain very steady for hours. Also I don't have problems with the lid sliding like other posted. Its firm and stays opened. Update:: Almost a year now and I just made some coffee put the lid on it (i usually dont use the lid). I went to make food and 20-30 mins later i managed to sit down and eat and took a big sip coffee and it burned my mouth pretty bad. I forget how well this lid holds in the heat. And at this point in time, the mug has been washed in the dishwasher countless times (not recommended as it may lose its vacuum seal). So do not underestimate the temperature even if the mug has been sitting for a while. I strongly recommend this mug if you don't like your coffee getting cold! ... show more
