I suffered an injury years ago that left my legs drastically different in strength. As a result my shoes have been wearing unevenly whereas prior to the injury, they always wore virtually the same. I'm now recovered but I recently noticed a difference in wear patterns and I immediately sought a new pair of shoes. Despite the current pairs still having plenty of life in them, I'm now no longer worried they're compromising my gate. The support I get from these is noticeable and it took a few days to adjust to that, though it was comfortable throughout that process. The arch support is great and though the heels are a bit thick, my body needs that while I refocus my walking on evening out my strides. I must say that I am a bit bias, I have used ASICS for many years. Good for many sports and casual wear. Comfortable and good looking. That said, what you get for the price is exceptional. Also, pretty sure they're all polymer construction for those that care, and because of the breathability, water goes through them but doesn't cause damage. I like that because I go knee deep fishing with an older pair, just wash with a hose and they're good to go. Thumbs up! ... show more

And these are just as comfortable and durable as every pair I've owned. I use these for work and have a lot of uneven terrain (gravel, dirt, etc) and these keep my feet from killing me at the end of the day. They are also very durable and feel great. I suppose they would be good for hiking too, but I've yet to find any brand as good as Asics. ... show more

I generally trust asics shoes to fit and to last >1 year. It's hard to assess all the different models remotely. I like the simple design and lower price (<< $100), but it does seem thinner than previous asics I've ordered. We'll see how they hold up to walking mountain roads and trails.

I bought this shoe hoping it would compete with some of the high priced trail shoes on the market. I love these shoes so much I bought another pair for the closet, ready when the first pair wears out. They may be top 3 most comfortable shoe I have ever owned. I have had these for a almost 3 months now. I trail run/walk at least 4 days a week. I am guessing I have over 300 miles on these shoes and absolutely no wear on top and very little on the bottom sole. Only down side which is true for most trail runners. They are not water proof. My feet got a little wet on a couple early spring mountain lake hiking adventures. Probably a little outside this shoes intended purpose. Strongly recommend! ... show more

First of all ASICS are my favorite show brand. There light weight and last a long time. Usually I get less than one year out of a pair of shoes. I wore these everyday day working 6 days per week. I drive a semi truck and deliver goods all day. So what I saying is I put the shoes through the ringer do to speak. There a good value and light weight which both are huge benefits to me. Most importantly though is how durable these are! I mean there not boots but they lasted longer than several boots I’ve had. Try them, you’ll see what I mean! ... show more
