We've used these to tie down a shed in a wind-prone area, so we'll see how long they last. Hint: the rod you use with your car's tire-jack is the perfect size to fit through the loop at the top of these to twist (versus your longest screwdriver). If they had made the loop just a tiny bit bigger, we could have used a shovel handle. 50 feet of wire wasn't enough. We had to match the angle of the shed's roof, or the thin wire would have just sawed its way through the aluminum as the wind blew it, and most sheds don't has a steep enough pitch to make 50 feet enough to not bite into the edges. ... show more

I am building an Arrow metal storage shed. It was time to hold it down. I found this kit on Amazon. Although the anchors are shorter than most it seems secure in the dirt. I did need more cable than they provided and I do not see any listed on their site so I bought a spool from someone else. I am not sure I would buy this kit again. Do not buy those gimmicky anchors that hook to a drill, you'll hurt yourself! If your soil is soft enough to install one of these with a drill it's not firm enough to hold an anchor. These anchors are very sturdy, the eye is large enough to fit the cable end with the clamp already on it through, the included 50' of cable is a huge plus. The cable clamps are cheap though. The threads are too short. I had to put spacers under the nuts to get the clamps tight enough. ... show more
