I spent SO much money on my last mattress and this one is so much better than that one. I have the queen, 12 inch and it just spectacular. I found that it was ready to sleep on within a few hours and is nice and firm. That feels so good to my back.

I ordered this mattress about a week ago, and have slept on it for 5 nights total now. It's exactly as advertised - it arrives rolled up and about 1 - 2 inches thick. You unroll it on your bed frame and take off the plastic vacuum bag and within an hour it's the full size you paid for. In my case it rose to 12" thickness in approximately 10 minutes. There was very little odor; a slight smell from the foam which lasted maybe a day and then dissipated. It was certainly not "overwhelming and room-filling" like many of the negative reviews here have described. We were unable to smell it unless we put our faces directly to the mattress. In terms of firmness, this is certainly a medium-firm mattress. I ordered this one after doing a ton of research; I like a firmer bed and I need the back support. I imagine it will soften slightly over time, but the longer you lay on it, the more comfortable you get. It's not a cloud, and you're not going to sink into it. If that's too firm for you, you might want look elsewhere. I purchased this because for about a year I have been having moderate to severe back pain, and I wanted to see how much of it was stemming from the crappy old spring mattress I was sleeping on. Now, maybe this is a bit of the placebo effect - that remains to be seen - but after 5 days my back pain has been dramatically reduced. I no longer feel like an old man getting out of bed - I have still been sore, but not in outright pain getting out of bed. This mattress has greatly improved my sleep quality as well - far less tossing and turning and for someone who usually has a lot of trouble getting to sleep, this has been a real aid. I will update this review after I've had it for a while, and then I will try to come back after around a year. If it's still roughly the same quality at that point, I'd say it's 1000% worth the price. 2 WEEK UPDATE: The mattress is still great. The firmness hasn't changed at all, and the mattress still regains its original shape within seconds of getting off of it. I am sleeping great and mostly back pain free. I will continue to update. 6 WEEK UPDATE: The mattress is the exact same quality now as when we took it out of the box. It feels pretty much the same, no changes in firmness or thickness. The mattress does sleep pretty warm. We purchased a set of "cooling" sheets - this is a big improvement and I definitely recommend it. The problem is totally solved. Otherwise, zero complaints. One of the best purchases I've made on Amazon. I will continue to update. 1 1/2 YEAR UPDATE: I have to say, this mattress is pretty much exactly as it was when we took it out of the box. No noticeable sag or change to the foam. We have rotated it 180 degrees so that our heads are on the opposite end, just to balance it out, but otherwise there has been virtually no change to the mattress. Still holds up great. 2 1/2 YEAR UPDATE: Just went and measured the mattress, and it's still exactly 12" thick. Still feels as firm as when we got it. Also the covering the mattress comes in (you don't remove it) is in perfect shape, just about. No change to the thickness, shape, firmness, or quality in just under 1000 nights of sleep with 2 adults. Not bad. ... show more

I have never bought a bed in a box and I was very worried about what I was going to get. This is the most comfortable bed I have ever owned. It forms to you and truly supports your body in a way that is comfortable but also not counterproductive for those with back issues. I added a foam topper out of habit. We had been looking for a new bed for months. I, like many here, didn't want to pull the trigger on a mattress until I reviewed as many as possible. I read reviews and watched YouTube videos on Purple, Ghost, Lucid, Nectar, Tuft & Needle etc. My brain was hurting and my eyes were burning. I came across Chime and everything seemed good and the price is fantastic compared to the others. Day of delivery: I woke up as I always did with my old matress, hurting! Headache, eye, neck, back and leg pain. This has been a morning ritual for over a year. The UPS man knocked on my door and asked me to help him with the package. I said, of course bud. As we walked to his truck he says," I think it's a bed!?" I said," yes sir. Bed in a box the way of the future." He laughed. So the bed is slightly heavy and I'd recommend two players for this adventure. Unboxing: Its unboxes like any of the others. Carefully cut plastic and unroll bed. Then cut second set if plastic and watch the magic that is a 1" bed grow into a 12" mattress. Remember those grow a dinosaur by adding water pills as a kid? It's kinda like that without adding water. Firmness: I realize A LOT of people complain about how firm it is. Evidently I must have been sleeping on a broken hardwood floor for a mattress because this new mattress is amazing! I laid down on it after setting it up and didn't get up for two hours. I don't find it very firm at all. I'm 6'5" and 274lbs. So maybe that plays into it. This bed beyond comfortable. Overall: This was an excellent purchase for us. After our first night of sleep I woke up and didn't hurt. No joke. I'm sore but no actual pain like I've been used to for over a year.
