I was looking for a bathrobe for a while, this one is perfect. Bathrobe = the stuff you wear coming out of the shower to dry yourself instead of using a towel, NOT the crap made out of fleece that you wear around the house to keep warm or something. This bathrobe is AMAZING. It's the perfect material, absorbent and soft (not fleece soft obviously, towel soft). I have had it for 3 months, loved it so much, my husband was jealous, so I bought one for him too. For people who says it's not heavy, that's stupid. It doesn't need to be heavy, it needs to be absorbent, and it is. Much better than most towels actually. But even at that, it is fairly heavy. I have washed mine many times, it shrunk the first time minimally (my husband noticed it more than I did, maybe by 1/2 inch), has not lost color and has not lost any fluff. Still soft (not soft like fleece, that's not the point), still nice (I suspect people who say it isn't soft forget to put fabric softener when they do their laundry). As usual when you get this sort of product, when it comes, it smells factory like, so just wash it (who wouldn't wash this sort of things first anyway?) I am 5'3'', 200 lbs, and I took the XL. Because I wanted something that would wrap me all the way, that would cover my whole body (boobs and butt included) and would not feel tight, and that would be long. If I dont tie the belt, it touches the floor, if I tie the belt, it's at my ankles. Perfect. There is plenty of space to wrap myself all the way in. Large would probably have sufficed but I prefer the XL. Arm length is of course long, but I dont care. My husband is 6'1'', 200lbs and he also took the XL. It fits him very well. Length is at the calves, arm length is perfect. He can wrap himself all the way into it. He loves it. The hood is great. Plenty big, I don't use a towel for my hair anymore. All in all, this is so perfect, and durable. Exactly what I wanted. Now I feel like a jedi each time I come out of the shower! ... show more

This robe might be too heavy for some wearers but that’s not an issue for me (yet). I love the pockets and the long length. I find the hood useful; I like to pull it up for a nap or out of a bath when the house is cold. I’m disappointed that the terrycloth catches easily amd pulls out threads making the robe look shabby. Very pleased, this robe is exactly as pictured and described. It is not heavy, yet not overly lightweight, is feels soft and appears to be well made (as with anything these days time will tell how long it lasts). For years I put up with a super heavy unisex terry cloth robe that was bulky and when it was wet it was like wearing an anchor, good riddance to it! I am 68 years old with a bad back, 142 lbs, 5 ft 7.5 with broad shoulders and long arms and I chose the large and the fit is quite generous without looking ridiculously oversized the way the unisex "one size fits all' robes tend to be. Sleeves come to the middle joints of my fingers with arms down at my sides and the length is to the tops of my feet, so there's room for shrinkage once I wash it. I do wish it had a few more inches of width at the bottom to have less of a gap when sitting and lying on a lounge chair and l was tempted to order the extra large for that reason, but decided against it as then it would be oversized for my frame, plus with an extra large I would have to roll up the sleeves and I really like the finished edge as it is. There is ample room to add some inner ties to help close up the gap which I might do if I find it really bugs me. The color is closer to a mauve than a plum and that's okay because it is still very pleasant. If you're looking for something that will stand out more you might want to consider the burgundy. If this one holds up well after a few washes I may also order a burgundy to keep one for the yard for the pool/hottub and one for the house for bathing and lounging. I should also add that it arrived on the schedule date and was well folded and packaged. All things considered at this point I feel this was money well spent and am quite pleased with this purchase and do highly recommend this company. ... show more

I ordered a medium in the plum color and I was looking for a robe that I could just put on after I get out of the shower and it will pretty much dry me off and this works really well. Very happy with the purchase.

I ordered an XL robe in Plum. I'm about 5ft 6 tall 208 pounds and it wraps nicely around your with extra robe left over. The length was clear down to my ankles, which is something I was looking for. Sleeves were a bit long for me, so I just rolled it up one time and I'm ok with that. It's on the heavy side, it's really a nice big beach towel to wrap yourself in after your shower. Love the fact it has a hook on the back of the neck to hang as well as two loops on each hip side on the outside to place the rope around your waist. I gave it 4 starts for the softness because I wasn't looking for the softness factor I just wanted something that dries your skin fast period. But I was surprised on how soft it felt when I draped it on right out of the shower. I washed it in cold water, and I didn't add softener and dried it in "low" heat for full cycle and I did not notice any shrinkage.
