  • Good variety of colors and black tip sizes.
Really like the fine point tips on the colors and the variety of sizes of chips with black pens. I’m very happy with them.

  • Love this pen set
I have used this brand in a lot of my art work and have found them to be great for illustration and adding definition to spaces in my watercolor. The ability to add fine detail to an art piece is enhanced by the quality of the pens.

  • Don't waste your money
I'm a line and abstract artist and have a lot of requirements for my pens. But the biggest one is that THEY WORK. I just can't believe that five of the black ones are completely dry! And I just opened the package about two weeks ago. And I can't return them because I was angry and threw them away AND I'm in the middle of hurricane damage recovery . ... show more

  • Nice fineline pen set, some nice colors
I use black fineline pens for drawing or mixed media, usually with watercolors, watercolor pencils or with brush tip pens, so when I saw this set of colored Artme Micro Fineliner Pens, I thought "why not?" Good news is they don't smell at all. They come in a reusable clear plastic pouch, and each pen has its own spot. The listing says these are archival and waterproof. They don't say the ink is acid-free, but since they claim to be archival, presumably it is. I got no bleed through using them on 160 GSM drawing paper. I made a doodle with each pen, and while one - the orange - was a little dry, it was still usable (it's the third doodle in the pic). A couple others felt a little dry to start, but once I got going, they were fine. The lines they make are fine, and you can alter the lines a bit by drawing faster or slower or by pressing just a little harder. I attempted to show this in my doodles. I liked the colors, and I appreciated the multiple tip sizes in black. I tested the second pic on the bottom row with some water after the ink was fully dry; it did smear a bit, but it's not bad. The rest on the third doodle on the last line is some watercolor, and as you can see, the ink pretty much stayed put. Please note I ran out of room for my last 3 doodles, but most of the colors are displayed in my pic. There are no color names or numbers that I could find, but the tops and bottoms of the pens show the colors. Overall I like these. They're fun to use and the feel is nice and smooth, so I plan to spend more time drawing with them and using them in my watercolor paintings, although since they show a hint of smear if you wet them after the ink dries, I'll add the lines after doing the painting. I do wish there more more colors, but I do like the colors the set has, and I loved the various black line thicknesses. As far as value goes, the price is higher than some brands, lower than some. ... show more

  • ...Like Unsweetened Rock Licorice
The black pens were amazing, deep and rich with great coverage. So I was surprised at how milquetoast the others were. The colored pens are muted and exude an aesthetic similar to unsweetened rock licorice -- it begs the question "why?"

  • Really nice!
I’ve been using these micro fineliner pens for a while now, and I’m quite pleased with their performance. The quality feels solid, and the nibs don’t show signs of wearing down quickly, which is often an issue for me since I tend to press harder on my pens. With cheaper pens, I usually notice the tips becoming blunt or frayed rather fast, but these have held up remarkably well! While I haven’t tested the waterproof claim, as it wasn’t a feature I specifically needed, the overall experience has been great for drawing and detailing work. The ink flows smoothly, and the lines are crisp, making it enjoyable to use for both sketching and more detailed illustrations. If durability and consistent line work are what you’re after, I’d say these are a solid option to consider! ... show more
