I got this because I have a fenced in backyard that is entirely paved over with a stone surface. My dog doesn't like to go out there to do his business because he likes to go on grass. I don't want to rip up my backyard and plant grass just for that, so fake grass seemed to be a good solution. This one works well. It looks pretty realistic if you don't look at it too closely. It's good enough for my dog. I like that it has built in drainage so that I can just hose it off after my dog does his thing and it will just wash away.
