I have this one right off my back patio step and it takes the most abuse of the various outdoor turf rugs and mats we have. Out of the pack these turf mats smell like a plastic factory but that goes away pretty fast in fresh air. Countless times I've hosed it down and picked it up, shook it, and threw it over the railing to dry. It's still exactly like it was the day I got it. The magic of fine UV resistant plastic. Not sure how it will do as a pee mat, but for a barefoot wiper on the way in to the house it's top notch for me. We used this on our upstairs patio - which is pretty small. If you're looking to cover a bigger area, order a handful of these. The bottom of the mat is sturdy enough to have withstood the summer weather we've been having this year, but is also pliable enough that you can cut it if you're trying to adjust it to a certain size (a strong box-cutter would suffice). ... show more

I got this because I have a fenced in backyard that is entirely paved over with a stone surface. My dog doesn't like to go out there to do his business because he likes to go on grass. I don't want to rip up my backyard and plant grass just for that, so fake grass seemed to be a good solution. This one works well. It looks pretty realistic if you don't look at it too closely. It's good enough for my dog. I like that it has built in drainage so that I can just hose it off after my dog does his thing and it will just wash away. Very high quality material that is easy to work with. I tacked my roll to a ramp off my deck. Helps keep debris from coming into the house. Looks good and feels nice to walk on. My dogs walk on it everyday with no problems. Cleans up nice by blowing or sweeping off.
