I love the set! It's beautiful, well made and quite durable. So much so that I ordered a second set, along with 4 pasta bowls and 4 custard cups. However, when I received the set, there was a chip on one of the salad plates even though it was packed very well and face down. It appears to have been on the plate during packing since the dinnerware was wrapped in foam and surrounded by additional foam. I don't want to return the entire set for just one plate. That being said, if you like this set, I would encourage anyone interested in it, to definitely buy it, but carefully inspect each piece. ... show more

I got the mixed pattern set and I like the eclectic vibe it has. It also reminds me of “old world” patterns. These dishes have a nice weight to them and they feel substantial. I love all the patterns, but the wheat pattern is my favorite. The patterns are subtle in color. The mixture of plate sizes and the bowl size are great for serving everything from a large meal to a salad or soup. I didn’t care much for the spoons. The spoons are kind of big and “clunky” to use. Everything stacks well and cleans up nicely. I probably won’t stack the bowls more than two to a stack, but the plates stacked well in one stack. I hand wash dishes and had no issues with food sticking or discoloration. Great set at a reasonable price. ... show more

I bought the Artena Plates and Bowls Set mainly because I liked the simple embossed damask floral design. The white color makes it easy to match with any kitchen, and the texture adds a little something extra without being too bold. The plates and bowls feel sturdy but not too heavy, and they’ve held up well in both the dishwasher and microwave without any issues. The size of each piece works well for everyday meals. The dinner plates are a good size without being too large, and the bowls are deep enough for soups and cereals. The smaller plates are handy for lighter meals or snacks. I like that the plates have a slight lip around the edge, which helps keep food from sliding off, especially with sauces. The bowls are a little on the deep side, which can make mixing things like salads a bit tricky, but they work fine for most meals. Microwave use has been smooth. The dishes don’t get overly hot, and food heats evenly. The embossed pattern doesn’t seem to trap dirt, and they come out of the dishwasher clean every time. So far, there haven’t been any chips or cracks, which is a good sign for durability. Overall, it’s a simple and solid dinnerware set that gets the job done without any fuss.
