This is a nice little starter set for the beginner artist in your life. It has a nice selection of graphite pencils of various hardnesses, as well as some charcoal pencils and sticks. It comes with both a vinyl erasure, and a kneadable erasure as well-which is a nice touch for a beginner set. Also included are a couple of mediocre sharpeners, and two decent sketchbooks. For the price, it is a great little set, but the sharpeners are pretty "ify." You are better off using a craft knife to get the type of point you want to use, rather than the sharpeners. ... show more

This is a far better set than I expected it to be for the price! Two notepads (30 pages each), pencils, two erasers, two pencil sharpeners, charcoal sticks, charcoal pencils, and a wood free pencil all provide great functionality in a compact box. The quality of the elements is good too - you can see my first drawing using the paper, a pencil, and an eraser from the set along with some charcoal pencils I already had on hand. I'm quite happy with the results. I will probably buy a few of these as gifts for my kids and a few friends. Highly recommend this set! ... show more
