My dogs were actually excited for me to use this and let me brush their teeth without any issues. The toothbrush has a small brush and larger one on either side of brush which made it super great to reach those back teeth. The kit is very handy, but unfortunately the toothpaste (beef and mint) was a non-starter. I put a dab on my finger and offered it to my dog. I have never seen him physically repulsed by a smell before, and he happily eats literal street garbage! I offered it to him a few times but he kept recoiling so I threw it away. Got this for our older corgi, in banana-mint. His breath had gotten so bad I could smell it 5 feet away when he'd yawn and I would gag at the smell. I saw reviewers say it could upset a dog's stomach, so I just barely scraped a 360° finger brush in various spots on the toothpaste and did a very quick once-over his teeth and it's been 3 days and I haven't smelled any foul breath since. It's a total game changer. I can actually snuggle him and not gag. No issues so far with stomach tolerance, but if it changes I'll make an edit. Can't wait to see more long term results! I will try to remember to update my review in a few months. Rating is 4 stars because the finger brush it comes with is hard plastic and has a very limited bristle area. Too bulky and unusable for someone with thin fingers and a less-than-willing dog. Worth getting a rubber or silicone 360° brush with it. ... show more
