Description

Arkon’s CMPHD006 Heavy-Duty Aluminum Mount with 8” Multi-Angle Arm and 4-Hole AMPS Drill Base is designed for installations where mounting a camera to a wall or other flat solid surface (including car dashboards) is desired. The mount base uses a 4-Hole AMPS pattern to attach to the wall (screws are included) or other surface. (Formerly an industry standard, the 4-Hole AMPS pattern consists of four holes located in a rectangular pattern spaced at 30.17mm by 38.05mm, measured as the center-to-center distance between holes) CMPHD006 offers a 1/4”-20 mounting bolt for attaching compatible cameras, such as close-circuit television (CCTV) or security cameras, in-vehicle camera systems, POV cameras, point-and-shoot cameras, camcorders, or any device with a 1/4”-20 threaded mounting pattern. This mount includes Arkon’s Heavy-Duty Aluminum Mount with 8” Multi-Angle Arm and 4-Hole AMPS Drill Base. This sturdy 8”mount features three adjustment knobs at 2.5” intervals on the mount arm for easy positioning. Two additional 180° adjustment points at both the top and bottom of the mount provide additional flexibility in positioning the camera.

  • One thing that concerns me...
Style: Mount
I wouldn't have thought about this until I got it in my hands, and the product photos DO seem to reflect this, but: the mounting/post screw is kind of short. I have two other mounts with the "camera mounting post", and those two are much longer than the one here. Now, normally I wouldn't be terribly concerned, but my plan is to mount a small and lightweight projector from it. Not sure why the screw has been made so short, the post's collar is intended to "shorten the screw" if necessary. (NOTE: In the picture, I have this product on top, facing down, so that the screw sizes can be compared. Both of the products have a rubber'ish washer around the post, so that's not the issue.) Overall, the design seems good other than this flaw. The joints are tight when the screws are tightened and the joints are flexible when its time to arrange them. I also like that there are a variety of screw holes (and sizes) in the base mounting plate. ... show more

  • Sturdy and good hold
Style: Mount
It has lots of adjustability and stays where you set it. Lots of screw mounting holes too which is appreciated.

  • Compact but highly adjustable camera mount
Style: Mount
I'm using two of these to mount PTZ cameras for livestreaming at my church. They can be mounted on any flat surface, horizontally or vertically. The three-axis adjustments allow the camera to be locked into any necessary position, and the locking thumbscrews provide positive, no-drift anchoring. My PTZ cameras are motorized, but the movement has never caused the mount to shift. Very well designed. Comes with screws and anchors for mounting. ... show more

  • Very Sturdy and Articulates Well
Style: Mount
I searched high and low for a bracket to hold 2 of my 3 new security cameras. I needed to position the cameras in precise positions that only an articulated arm could do. There were a number of similar brackets on Amazon but this was the only one I found that was metal and not plastic. They were pretty expensive, especially for 2, but considering their purpose, I suppose it was worth it. I just wish they were longer. Even so, the multiple adjustment points let me position the brackets and the cameras they hold exactly the way I wanted. I highly recommend this bracket. ... show more

  • A very sturdy and versatile mount.
Style: Mount
After trying a cheap 10 dollar option that failed miserably I was determined to find something that would just work, even if it cost a little more than I wanted to spend. Let me tall you, I'm so glad I spent the extra few bucks! This thing is so good. I'm using it in a little less traditional sense. I took an idea from one of the reviews here where they had their projector mounted on this and then some T-Track. I refined the design a bit as I wanted this thing to be really sturdy, and it is. I may have put most of my weight and hung off this thing for a split second to make sure it wasn't going anywhere... It didn't budge. Now I can move my camera into virtually any position I want for overhead and top down shots! If I need more range I can just mount more T-Track and bam. This mount uses the standard AMPS mounting pattern of 30x38mm. Mine also had three additional holes in a triangular pattern. I used some M3 head screws and nuts, I think they were 12mm in length. M4 screws will just fit though the holes, but I wanted a little wiggle room to account for just using a hand drill instead of drill press to bore them. The mount articulates very nicely with two ball joints on either end and an elbow joint in the middle. The elbow joint has teeth to keep it locked in place and the ball jointed have a small grooved pattern machined into them to really lock things into place. The camera and lens on here weigh in at only about 1.5lbs, but I can tell you thing can hold a lot more weight than that if it needed to. Not just hold it either, but LOCKS it into place. Super impressed with this mount that I actually purchased a different model Arkon mount to complete my setup. ... show more

  • Un brazo muy fuerte
Style: Mount
No lo creía pero funciona perfectamente para sostener una Sony A7IV con un lente Rokinon cine 24mm bastante pesado. Es un brazo perfecto para montajes difíciles!

  • Solid Construction
Style: Mount
It's a sturdy mount. On the other hand, it's a short mount. If the mount is straight, you get a grand total of 7" for extension. Considering the length, it's also a little pricy. It did come with two sets of different length screws and a set of anchors for mounting to drywall.

  • Perfect for a small projector that can also use a camera-tripod mount. It's great!
Style: Mount
Price on this was about five times as much as the first mount I ordered--but the sturdiness, quality, fit, and finish were FAR better than the first one. This mounted easily and quickly. The adjustments are almost infinitely variable, and since this is made of cast and machined aluminum you will not worry about this fracturing, bending, falling, or breaking--nor will your worry about your expensive camera or projector falling due to failure of the mount. Another great aspect of this mount? If you were a little off in your measuring for mounting your projector (mine is an LG PF1500 1080p native-res) this will allow you to orient your projector right, left, forward, or back, as long as the mount is low enough to permit those adjustments. For example, my screen's viewing area is approximately 9.5" below the ceiling, and the top of my projector's image begins at the center of its lens. If I need to make adjustments I would want to have the mount far enough from my ceiling to allow a bend in the mount, which would then move the top of the image upward somewhat, toward the ceiling. In other words, if you want such adjustments attach the mount to a wooden block, etc. to get it a little lower, so that adjusting the joints won't raise your projector above where you need it to be. At any rate, I have not found any ceiling mount for a small projector like mine that provides the range of adjustment yet is so sturdy. I have no reservations about heartily recommending this one! ... show more
