  • NO-DRILL. This ARIES grille guard installs with no drilling needed, and it fits select model years of the Ram 1500 and Dodge Ram 1500

Description

For the conqueror in every truck, Jeep or SUV owner, the ARIES grille guard offers the tough, trail-ready look you demand. It begins with a one-piece frame of 1/4" thick welded plates and 1-1/2" mandrel-bent tubing for a solid build. Each one is made with a vehicle-specific design for a better fit, easier install and more secure mounting. The side brush guards are custom-bent to contour to the profile of your vehicle, while the mounting brackets are positioned for a no-drill application. This means pre-existing factory holes are used to ensure optimum fitment and less vibration. This particular custom grille guard fits specific years of the Ram 1500 and Dodge Ram 1500 (see application info to verify). The ARIES grille guard also makes it easy to customize the look of your vehicle. Not only does the crossbar have two pre- drilled holes for mounting aftermarket LED lights, but many of our grille guards are also available in two finish options -- polished stainless steel or semi-gloss black steel. The stainless steel grille guard is made with 304 stainless, being high in nickel content and truly resistant to rust and corrosion. This option comes with a mirror-like polished finish for a definitive shine. The semi-gloss black grille guard is made with high-strength carbon steel for added strength. It features a tough, dual-layer E-coat and black powder coat finish to protect against rust, scratches and the elements. All ARIES grille guards also come with rubber stripping along the risers to protect the frame against scuffs and scratches.

After my young adult made direct contact with local wildlife for a second time, I decided to add this to the repair job. I assume simply installing it will be sufficient to ward off the wildlife (ha). Fits well but was a bit of a fight to get everything aligned and bolted on. Two person job if you want it to go easier. Needed to use the additional hardware to mount on this truck, but after it was on it's a good fit. Just recognize that changing a headlamp bulb after this is on will take even more work (compared to the normally still involved job thanks to the design for these trucks). I love the look and it's really solid, instructions were kinda crappy but if you have basic common sense you'll be fine Don't use the headlight brackets tho, they pull out the mounting bolts and just aren't worth the hassle

Installed this grille guard in a weekend and was made easier by making it a two person job, but it would not be impossible to do solo, but at points would be more difficult. I absolutely love the look it gives the front end and how stout the guard is. I have uploaded pictures including those during the install with some helpful info. The guard was delivered via 16’ box truck and was well protected inside its box. I can report no abnormal vibration or noise as a result of the install during Highway speed. The headlight beams are not obstructed and the profile of the guard does not rise into view above the hood. (See Pictures) Update (2/13/21) I have added additional pictures since install. I am very pleased with this investment, I still get compliments on the looks of it. No rust, no paint issues. Update (1/4/24) The Grille Guard did its job in early November, saving the front end and my truck after an unfortunate and unavoidable deer strike. A Drivable Truck, Replacement DS Door/Body Work coming up in late Feb. (instead of) likely Catastrophic Front-End Damage. I thought I would share this for any of you looking at purchasing this guard.     • Bolt hole alignment issues
Overall it's nice, that's why I gave it a 3 ⭐. Outside of that, the top brackets that mount behind the headlights are too thick, cause the headlights to point down. The mounting holes did not line up well at all and could only get one screw to thread in a hole and even that was a huge struggle.

I just installed this on my 2009 Ram 1500 and I love how this Grille Guard hugs the contours of the truck more than other brands that I have seen. I did mount a 30" light bar to it just last night with some room on both sides to spare. I did have to pick up a few washers at the local hardware store for the pre-made mounting holes, but still gets a 5 star from me. ... show more

Instruction pretty well suck, you have to make your own call on many items and adjustments...if your not mechanically inclined get someone to put it on...if you can find anyone, ie I couldn't LOL
