  • The seat will fall apart. The frame the seat sits on is good.
Size: Cockpit Color: Red
The build quality of everything besides the seat is great, and easy to put together. However, the seat has me wondering if I should request a refund, call I think I am going to. Where the seat reclines, only one hinge locks. The backrest, and bottom cushion are held together with 4 bolts on the reclining/hinge mechanism. Anytime you put weight on the seat it twists very badly. It pops and creaks already. I put it together 2 days ago, and have only sat in the seat maybe 3 times. It has never had a game played on it, and is already showing its flaws. I am worried that when I hit the brake, it will give out. It is just a matter of time. This should come with a disclaimer for the seat. Someone is going to try putting this into a vehicle and get seriously hurt. I was under the impression that I was going to receive a real racing chair, that would be comparable to one that goes into a car. I would even consider keeping it, if I could get the price of a real racing seat refunded to purchase one that will hold up. ... show more

  • Don’t Waste Your Time Or Money!
Size: Cockpit + TV Mount Color: Red
Seat is brutally painful to sit in for any amount of time. You might want to replace it with an old piece of wood with nails sticking up in to your bottom for more comfort. There’s no adjustability to bring the steering wheel closer if you have to sit further away to get your legs in proper position. Long story short, don’t fall for the pictures. They make this thing look better than it is. Sure it’s sturdy like everyone keeps saying. I just waited too long trying to fool with this thing to make it comfortable and even tried making modifications, so now it’s not returnable. Now I have this useless, ‘sturdy’ thing sitting in my house that I’m going to throw in the trash next week. Do it right the first time and steer clear. I’m now out the cost of this item and so far $60 for a seat from the junkyard. Heading to the store for some lumber to rebuild the rest. JUNK! ... show more

  • Too low to the ground, get the monitor mount at least
Size: Cockpit Color: Red
The cushion has a hard spot near the back of the butt pad. The whole thing is too low to the ground. The adjustments you're able to make to the mounting of everything aren't very helpful. I cant tell you how best to find a cheap but good Sim racing "cockpit" or whatever these are called. Maybe watch some videos, spend more money, and keep height in mind cuz this thing is definitely too low to the ground and will cause discomfort for everyone after 30mins. If your mind is still dead set on buying this, buy the one with the monitor mount at least. I thought I could be smart by saving the extra money there but in the end I ended up buying a rolling TV mounting cart thing and put a 55" tv on it which is still worse and annoying. Don't cheap out on these things long story short. Work some overtime, don't order delivery for a few weeks, do some more research than me, and get a good rig. ... show more

  • Great For The Price
Size: Cockpit Color: Red
Awesome add to the racing sim. Very comfortable and customizable to your fit. Decently easy set up, but some parts may be difficult depending on your skill. Comes with all the parts needed to put the set up together. The build quality is honestly fairly good for the price, some pieces feel cheap but they're non essentials, just decorative pieces. The piece that holds the chair back in its spot so it doesn't lean back feels a little weak and is only on one side of the chair, but still holds it firmly as long as there's not a lot of pressure on it. It's accuracy is exactly what the listing says it is. I think its a great, cheaper choice for the sim set up. ... show more

  • It's solid - highly adjustable and well designed and built
Size: Cockpit + TV Mount Color: Red
It arrived earlier than expected and was very well packaged. The individual pieces were powder coated, wrapped in plastic, and secured in styrofoam cut-outs inside the box. The monitor stand was packaged in its own box (inside the big box), which made sorting/assembly more manageable. Assembly was straightforward, all the holes lined up and everything fit together as they should. All bolts, washers, nuts, spacers, and etc were sealed in plastic and labeled. Most importantly, there were no missing parts. The integrated monitor mount provides consumers an option for a self-contained cockpit. It allowed me to tuck it away in the corner. I've been using it for a week and find it comfortable, sturdy and solid. For this price point, I'm impressed with the quality of the material, well thought out design and workmanship. It is very functional; far more sturdy/stable than I'd hope for. I would recommend this cockpit. Oh, it's heavy, probably upward of 40 pounds. Some of the design considerations worthy mentioning: 1. diameter of tubular frame is large and beefy enough 2. the metal brace on each side adds rigidity, allowing the different sections to work together as a single solid frame. 3. the seat reclines and slides. the wheel/shifter/pedals mounts are adjustable so one should be able to be comfortable in it. Overall, I am very impressed and satisfied with my purchase. ... show more

  • Great...except for the wheel base mount, which flexes too much.
Size: Cockpit + TV Mount Color: Red
I have a love-hate relationship with this cockpit. It was easy to put together and has great features for a great price. It is nice and sturdy...except for the wheel base mount. The wheel base mount extends out from the frame in a way where the wheel base/wheel has a ton of leverage on the mount, which cause the mount to move and flex up and down quite a bit. It is unfortunate because I love everything else about the cockpit, but the wheel base mount, which only attaches to the frame with two bolts, likely isn't suitable for anything stronger than entry-level wheel bases. Take a look at how the wheel base mount extends out from the frame in the photos and you will understand what I'm getting at -- it just isn't a well engineered solution for the portion of the cockpit that should be rigid. ... show more
