I just received this and honestly when I ordered it, I wasn’t expecting “great”. It was on sale for $35 for a 5x7!!! As I said, wasn’t expecting anything great and had initially just wanted it for my son’s room. Since it was on sale, I figured it’d be good enough for in there (plus it’s washable!) It arrived today folded in a plastic bag (again figured it would be wrinkled or creased or something). I was WRONG!! This rug is beautiful and so soft! It’s a thinner rug (so you can wash it of course), and so there really wasn’t any creasing or wrinkling from being folded. I actually have a $400 ruggable rug that is thinner and honestly not as good in my opinion!! I loved it so much, I gave my son the rug from our living room and put this one there instead! Love this area rug , it fit the space perfectly and does not slide. Very soft and a plus that it’s washable. It’s not very thick or too thin. Great value.

This is called an entryway rug, and I admit I should have measured my entryway before getting this, because I am terrible at eyeballing things. It was too large for my entryway, and it is heavy. It may have to do with the backing, whatever it is made of, but the rug is very dense so it weighs a lot. It has a non slip backing on it, and the design is very light…I realize it’s called distressed, but it reminded me of something that had been through the wash too many times. The design looks much darker in the pictures. Speaking of washing, the description mentions being machine washable, but I don’t think a regular washing machine could handle the weight of this thing once it gets wet. I couldn’t imagine wiping my feet on this every day, it would show everything. It is also not what I would call a rug, more of a mat…the distinction for me is one of texture. A rug as I think of it has pile, visible fibers that you can feel when you run your hand over it. A mat is more like those pretty but flimsy bath or kitchen mats, that feel like velvet on top, solid and so soft that it’s kind of slippery. There is no traction so it would be easy to slip on this. It might be really nice on the floor of a kid’s playroom, because it is very soft, but I wouldn’t put it in a place I intended to walk all the time, I would be afraid of slipping.
