  • Great curler, nice price
I purchased this after reading reviews. This method of curling looked easier than the ones that look like mini-curling irons. Those scared me. This is simple to use and you will not burn yourself. The heating element does not get hot enough to burn you. Yes, you have to hold the button to warm it up for about 30 seconds. I usually do something else while I walk around with this in my hand to warm up, not a big deal. I am the type to forget to turn things off, so it is good for me. Place your eyelashes inside and crimp just like a regular curler. I hold between 10-15 seconds, moving up the lash to curl in 3-4 places. It works well and the curl holds all day. I often just curl and don't bother with the mascara. The three-pack is odd, but nice. One for regular use, one for travel bag, and a back-up. ... show more

  • Love, love, love it!!
I bought this lash curler at a trade show, as a trade show special for $1. I wish then I had the foresight to buy more! I have since bought a number of them as well as another (more expensive) brand. This one, though over time the price has increased, is by far the best one for the money. Quality isn't always the greatest as far as lasting, some last longer than others. My first one lasted the longest. But the job it does is SUPER! Any make-up artist will tell you never to curl lashes with mascara on them. It can break off and pull out the lashes. Also, to preserve your lashes, always, always remove eye make-up before sleeping. Your lashes can break off overnight, and using a cheaper grade (some of the expensive ones aren't higher grade) mascara can cause lashes to become brittle and break. I hold the heat on my lashes from 10-20 seconds per eye, then apply my mascara and it works great! For those of you who say it crimps the lashes, back off, don't hold it so tightly against the lashes. It will work. I even gave one to my niece and she LOVES it too. ... show more

  • Gets the job done!
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 3)
Perfect amount of heat! You have to hold it down to warm it up which is kind of a pain. Overall these curlers get the job done. It takes less time to curl my lashes now even waiting for the curler to warm up. It only takes about 30 seconds to heat up too. Will purchase again!

  • Poor Product
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 3)
I should have known when the price and quantity were too good to be true that I should have followed my instincts. This curler does NOT have an on/off button. You need to constantly be pushing the bar up to have the heat activated which makes this ineffective. IF you need to set the curler down, it cools down and you have to start the cycle all over. Do not be led in by the price and quantity - pass this one over and go to one that has an on/off switch. If you do, heated curlers are fabulous and work well even if they wear out quickly...but well worth it even if they only last 1 year in time. This one however is not worth it. Even when it is heated, the amount of heat is not sufficient enough to curl the lashes properly. I did not even attempt to contact Amazon or the manufacturer and just threw them awsay - big waste of money but a lesson well learned! ... show more

  • not worth it
This heated curler is totally useless, does not get hot enough. Wastage of my money. I am sticking to my regular Mac lash curler. Edit: 10/07/13: Yup found it lying at the back of my drawer and tried it out again....same story. Also, instead of curling my lashes uniformly, it actually crimped and clumped the lases in the middle of my eye. The ends of my lashes don't get curled anyways, and when I try to do the ends, it ends up ruining the curled areas! Ugh!! Maybe for someone with smaller eyes but definitely not for me. Back it goes..to the dark corner of my drawer. As for it being a heated curler...the temp gets barely warm. Duh! ... show more

  • This heated product is the BEST on the market
My eyelashes are long and straight...........therefore, needed something to curl them. I've used the traditional eyelash curlers where, at times, I would lose lashes in the process of curling. This heated product is the BEST on the market. I've used this product before and was in need of a new one due to the ongoing daily use for years. So, to discover it on Amazon and to get a 3-pack was a wonderful find !!! I now keep one in my luggage, in my make-up drawer, and one on stand-by. My lashes are curly, beautiful, and I never see one fall out......they actually look fuller !!! I'm in my 50's and so nice to be asked how lucky I am to have such beautiful lashes and how do I do it......and I tell them, 'It's the Ardell Heated Eye Lash Curler" ! ... show more

  • hit and miss
the one i had before this was also a cheapie, but it had an on/off switch, and worked nicely. the problem with IT, was the case cracked down by the battery compartment, and i couldn't keep the battery door on anymore. now THESE, do NOT have an on/off switch, you have to hold the curler closed to heat it up, then use it. the first of the three that i tried would not heat up sufficiently for use. the second one is doing okay. it's just a pain that i have to sit there and hold it for it to heat up. definitely will NOT be my choice next time. ... show more

  • I've finally found the curler I used to use years ago!
A few years back, I was using this same Ardell eyelash curler. It died on me after so much use. When I searched, I couldn't ever find a "heated" eyelash curler anywhere, or this same brand for that matter. None of the local beauty supply stores had them, Walgreens didn't have them. So recently I searched on Amazon and FOUND IT. I'm so ecstatic, this thing is awesome, and for the . A few words of caution, however: 1. NEVER get it wet. 2. Hold the switch for at least 20-30 seconds to warm it up before using. (I usually occupy this time by brushing my teeth.) 3. I recommend crimping at the base of your eyelash, then slowly (but gently) pulling the curler. Stop curling just before you reach the ends of your lashes, because they will ferociously curl at the ends! If you pull the curler and ease into the middle of the lash, the curl will look more natural instead of extreme! Just my two cents! ... show more
