Description

TOP QUALITY Malaysian Trumpet Snails! Included in this package: 10+ Malaysian Trumpet Snails - assorted size 1/4- 3/4 inch. BONUS snails - always included!!!Malaysian Trumpet Snails are excellent CLEANING AGENTS for any freshwater fish tank or pond. They actively consume food remains on the bottom, rasping off algae off stones, glass and live plants and overall - generating a more natural look in your fish tank.Quite often, Malaysian Trumpet Snails emerge from the bottom and through their quite exotic looks enliven your underwater landscape. It is really fun to watch their slow movement and constant scraping of algae off rocks, aquarium decorations and live plants. Finally, Malaysian Trumpet Snails quickly convert whatever they have eaten/scraped into some great fertilizer (via their waste) that is readily utilized by aquarium plants. Further, they give off some extra CO2 (through breathing) that is also very beneficial for aquarium plant growth.Malaysian Trumpet Snails are totally safe for aquarium plants - they will only eat algae and food remains that otherwise would rot on the bottom and spoil water quality.Click on our Amazon Store - Aquatic Discounts to see more great choices! • Great Value and very healthy snails.
I breed 20 different types of aquatic snails as well as a multitude of fish and I often purchase new breeding stock for others to keep my gene pool diverse. These snails were very healthy when they arrived with amazing color and strong shells which tells me the seller took very good care of them. The seller sent almost double the order which was a welcome and pleasant surprise. Once I got the snails I placed them into a container with the contents of the bag and every 15min for one hour I added two tbs of tank water from the tank they will be placed in so they can get acclimated to the tanks chemistry. Unlike fish snails need time to adapt to the water chemistry in your tank other wise you risk putting them into shock and they die within a few days. This is called the drip method and should always be done when adding new snails to your tank. I suspect most of the reviews of dead snails were due to them being added directly into the tank. Fish need to be floated so the temp can even out but snails need to get use to your tanks ph, and overall chemistry. It has been about a months since I added these snails to my tank and they are doing quite well. I will deff purchase from this seller in the near future and I highly recommend them to all of you. As a breeder with years of experience I can tell you these snails are of a high quality that have been well taken care of. ... show more

  • Dead snails
I received my snails directly from the mail carrier, and as I grabbed the flimsy package, I realized it was freezing cold. I quickly brought it inside and started to open it I realize that the water looked murky and brown so I quickly open the packaging. The snails were stored in a flimsy bags with a brown paper towel inside with the snails I got them out of the nasty water into a shallow container like the directions say I monitored them for a few hours, and realize the water is starting to turn a brownish, green color and smell I know I should’ve taken a picture but it smells so bad ... show more

  • Very good!
I bought Malaysian trumpets and ramshorn snails. I think only one snail arrived DOA. And I'm in MN where it's plenty cold but they still survived shipping and sitting in my p.o. box a day. I put them in a container a couple days to watch initially, the trumpets take awhile to "wake up" after transport but after a day or two they started moving around. They do like to hide under the sand and come out at night. The ramshorns are more visible. I do wish they'd eat a bit more algea but maybe that will increase in time. They don't seem to eat the bit of algea that collects on the glass but do clean the plants well. No babies yet. I've had them all about a month now. They are not super colorful but are all different. The trumpets do have some blue green coloring which is cool. Over all I'm very pleased with the purchase. ... show more

  • Malaysian Snails
The media could not be loaded. They arrived after 9 days, alive. I placed them in dechlorinated water and waited. When I saw movement placed them in desired tanks. Only one was deceased and feed to my Bali Sharks. I wish they had quicker shipping options. May reach out to seller for another purchase with overnight options. ... show more

  • I am very happy with the snails themselves
I am very happy with the snails themselves. They all arrived live and are already breeding. However, the packaging could have been much better. The bag leaked all over the box and there was barely any water left for the snails by the time the package got to me.

  • Alive and in love :3
I was a bit worried at first because it took ten days to get to me. There was a bit of a leak, but not much and the second bag that the bag with the snails were in caught the water nicely. As you can see in the picture, Pasha is still trying to decide on what to do with these guys. The smallest ones decided to bury themselves, but the biggest ones are moving around and just don't give a hoot as they are hungry. The largest one is like one and a half maybe two inches shell wise. They are a white grey, with black fleshy snail, some have black or green on their shells too, the black is like lines of dots. These guys are cute, I plan to go to a pet shop and get two mystery snails just because I want to have something active during the day to watch with my beta xD I'm not sure Pasha is gunna forgive me for a while, he keeps swimming by not pleased with his new friends. I got fourteen snails of various sizes, love them and when I get babies and they get big, I'll probably pass some along to friends or sell them. All in all, I adore these guys :3 Edit: :O Not even a full day and a teeny white baby is crawling on the glass, SO cute. I don't know how many more will show up, but holy cow that was unexpected lol. It's really adorable! ... show more

  • Med sized, & active upon arrival..greet them w th proper care..
So very anxious I was to see my snails arrive, worried cuz it’s so hot here in th S..they arrived early, I was happy bout that..was only a lil water in their bag so I dripped some more in slowly so as not to shock them..then I floated em in th Sorority tank to bring to tank temp..then poured out th water slowly & gently & put some more of th clean same temp water in again, twice to clean them off.. Then I released them into th Tetra tank, slowly, in a cleared off “spot” so I could see them move or not..they just took off & were busy! Th tetras hav a “plantless”, sand, substrate becuz they eat or destroy most plants & they are th only kind of fish in th tank since they don’t “play well w others”, but it is a cycled tank w underground filter..for this type of snail it is natural for them to bury in & out of th sand (th substrate)..I made sure to get plenty at one time to start off w so they can do wat it is I need them to do..care for them proper wen they arrive, u kno they are stressed..I hope for them to multiply & become many..they are most welcome new members of th family..🤗 ... show more
