I had the 2nd generation Apple Watch (gift) but had battery and other issues with it and stopped using it then moved to a fit bit (the cheapest one) which was super simple for basic sleep and step tracking and the best part was that it didn't need to be charged for 7-10 days but the display was so small and low quality you could barely read the time and didn't have the nicely integrated and easy to use experience that Apple Watch has the watch and band have been great, really like the velcro strap, glad I got the smaller watch because I think I would be banging the larger one into things too often only thing not great is that you have to kind of build a routine around charging it -- but routines are good! I got the watch with the velcro strap and the original leather as an add on -- all were renewed and all work great and were delivered quickly ... show more

After I got my first iPhone in October, my Fitbit app barely worked. Took forever to refresh and I couldn’t even see weather or sleep. Apple Watch is amazing. It’s beautiful. It lasts thru a night of sleep and a run per day. Charges fast. I can make calls and messages from my wrist and place emergency calls. I’m never without my phone so I don’t need cellular, it functions via Bluetooth. I can control what’s playing from my wrist, see stocks, check email if needed, track mood, and I set up my watch face for ultimate self help using the “I Am” affirmations app. Also, heart rate to remember I’m alive, bear app which is notes with voice dictation (works great), voice note and mindfulness (which has mindful modules but also log your mood/state with detailed emotion options). It’s really great. The watch just WORKS. Makes Fitbit look like a hunk of garbage. I feel safer too since watch has fall detection (I’m a runner), tracks location on find my phone for my parents, has photos (I can view up to 500 so I keep an SOS mental health folder of images and snippet that calm me down), maps (really important for walking without phone out). The alarm is great, best of all it syncs perfectly with my phone so if I have maps on my phone on silent I still get a buzz before directions so I can mute instructions but not have to look down at phone wondering when my next turn is. Has reminders app, audible, cycle tracking. The Apple health app is a league above anything I’ve ever seen. The exercise app gives a huge amount of data for running (cadence, heart rate, elevation gain and loss, pace) and you can use other apps while during a workout ie check messages or place call during a long run. It has great sleep data and is much more accurate than Fitbit who tries to make you pay for same data. Fitbit even erased the community function while Apple fitness allows you to see others workout and compete. Love!! Update- I got an otterbox pink/red watch case and Lerobo wine red watch band. Loving it- the original band is okay but I prefer to customize and this is more comfortable. ... show more

I've wanted and waited since the Apple Series 1 Watch was released to finally buy an Apple Series 9 Watch. I always was iffy about whether it would be that useful or enjoyable to wear for me but now that I've had it a week, I am happier about this electronic product than about any other electronic product I've ever owned, with the caveat I bought the GPS only model. Also, I must pair it with my iPhone to easily read all the great health vitals. You can do it on the small 41mm screen but it's easier to wait until you get home and thoroughly review on your iPhone. It tracks all my vitals so nicely and effortlessly. Respiration Rate, ECG, Pulse, Sleeping, Sleep Apnea, Wrist Temperature, O2 Saturation, and activities like walking, jogging, swimming, washing hands, and so on. I guess I am also happy at being in better shape than I thought I was too. I got the smallest 41mm screen and I was thinking it would be essentially useless for everything but reading time but when I choose, I find it easy to navigate and read notices from my iPhone and use the app installed on it too. I am happy with the aesthetics of the 41mm size over the larger sizes, even though I am a man and have a male sized wrist. This watch has been a big surprise and eye opener. I hope to never need to buy another but if I do it will be an Apple Watch and one with GPS/cellular, and maybe someday, satellite. You cannot beat this as a sports and health watch, and I didn't buy the Ultra or Ultra 2 models, just the GPS only Series 9 41mm model. ... show more

This is such a nice upgrade to the older watch that I had. The battery life is WAY better than my previous one. The color is so nice and I'm so glad that they brought back a gold/pink option. I don't like the starlight color because it pulls silver. The new band is nice but it gets dirty easily and I tried to clean it but it never quite gets 100% clean. The functionality of the watch is just the same really than my previous watch with a few upgrades, like the blood oxygen. My only issue was that when it showed up, the box looked like it had been opened and returned. I contacted Amazon about it and they sent a replacement right away. I was glad because I didn't want to potentially risk anything wrong with it. It's an expensive purchase to have something be wrong with it. The price was better on Amazon than Apple's website when I bought it. ... show more
