    • Overall, I’m happy with the purchase, and the pencil works as expected
I recently upgraded from a 2018 iPad Pro to the 2024 iPad Pro, so I needed a new pencil since the Apple Pencil Gen 2 isn't compatible with the newer models. I went with the Apple Pencil Pro, and so far, it’s been working well. One of the standout features is the new squeeze gesture. It’s been super useful for taking notes on my iPad, which I do a lot. The pressure sensitivity and response time are also great as expected. I noticed some other reviews mentioning they received used pencils instead of new ones, but mine arrived brand new, as promised. There are also complaints about defective units, but I think a lot of other buyers are trying to use it with older iPads. This pencil is only compatible with the M2 iPad Airs, M4 iPad Pros, and the 7th Gen iPad Mini, so make sure you have the right model before buying. ... show more

    • Works Great Once We Figured it Out Together
I couldn't get the Apple Pencil Pro to connect no matter how hard I tried. I stuck it onto the camera side of my iPad Air and it didn't hold. I stuck it to the other side and it held, but only in small portion and would dangle off of the iPad (I believe these are the magnetics to connect to the keyboard). I restarted the iPad multiple times and updated the iOS and nothing, the pairing menu wouldn't show up. I finally decided to watch a video tutorial, and they showed to put the pencil on the camera side, as I had done the first time. I put it on again, camera side, and this time, it stuck, paired, and started charging. Anyway, it works great if you don't have an USB situation (stick it in one way, it won't go in, turn it around, it won't go in, turn it back around, suddenly it works). (Pressure sensitivity works great, writes well. I have a first generation Apple Pencil from an older iPad and this works just as well. But I do think that the fully cylindrical design of the first generation is more comfortable in the hand) ... show more
