This midnight-black 15-inch model replaces my old 2011 15-inch MacBook Pro, which still worked fine but was getting a bit long in the teeth and many new programs would no longer work on it. This is much faster, clearer, and brighter with a much improved keyboard feel. Love the M3 chip, too. Fast!

    • MacBook Air one month old fingerprint pw fails.
I liked the MacBook Air until it failed to respond to the fingerprint/power button. The PW is correct as the symbols aren't clear (fuzzy) if thePW is wrong (tried this). Chat support was excellent - downloaded the Mac software and no change. Apple is sending a shipping box with labels to return for repair. This unit is new as the moment it came out of the box - the fingerprint reader is not working. Is this common? Got this back from AppleCare Service with a note the testing could not duplicate the problem... lie to me - tell me you found a problem and fixed it. I like the MacBook Air notebook ... the thumbprint is working and now has pw "or" fingerprint - before it wouldn't open with either - will keep the device - two iPads have been working well for several years - which is why I went with the Apple. Now this review isn't showing up on the Amazon review page? And now the fingerprint reader isn't working again... this is a POS. ... show more
