I didn’t purchase the system for washing vehicles but it did a great job in quickly rinsing off my truck and leaving it spotless. I purchased the APEC 300 for washing house windows. Living in an area with very hard water, containing many minerals, washing windows was a waste of time leaving leaving the windows spotted with water mineral stains. The APEC left them crystal clear with no water spots. It paid for itself with the first cleaning considering the going rate for cleaning windows is $300 in our area. This is my second spotless cleaner and the APEC filter system is much easier to handle with the filters encased in hard plastic shells. I was going to give it four stars for manufacturing deficiencies because the holes for the stand and handle didn’t quite line up with the frame holes but it was an easy fix with my DeWalt power drill and running a 1/4 inch drill bit through for alignment. Nice portable car wash filter system. It does what it is supposed to. TDS zero. I had a fitting tighten down too much when I tried to connect a water hose. Contacted APEC and they had a new cap to me by FedEx in a couple of days. No leakage. Works great.

UPDATE! Below is my great review after the first two times using it. But after only using 10.8 gallons of water through it, the filters were spent and it was no longer working. The paperwork only estimates that you can get 120 gallons out of a filter but I got nothing near that. It costs $140 to replace the filters. That means 16 carwashes will cost you over $30 each. Not worth it at ALL!. DO NOT BUY!!! I have hard well water that makes it impossible to wash your cars. Even blowing the car dry you still will be left with water spots. I got this unit to stop this. I was skeptical but it worked! My home has a water softener system but it does not do enough to fix the issues with spotting. I ran a water test at the water at the inlet of the system and the outlet and it showed major improvements (See water test chart) It reduced the HARDNESS even more as well as taking the CARBONATE, ALKALINITY, and pH from the highest reading on the test down to 0. This totally removed the water spotting on the cars and even glass. I am very pleased with how amazing this unit actually worked and it now allows me to was my own cars again rather than always having to go to a car wash ... show more

Will update as we go: Our first one leaks right where the two filters connect so contacted Amazon for a replacement and just got our new replacement. So hopefully the new one doesn’t leak. As for water spots uncertain as we just used it for the first time, we have extremely hard water and it did help a little bit but I wonder if it’s because it was the first time. Will update as we go and use it more Update: has done a few washes with it now! Our first system was definitely flawed and our new one right out of the box didn’t need to be filtered through! Barely left water spots and we have very hard water also! So far liking it! ... show more

I love this system! It’s helped me wash my car in hot weather where I don’t have to be in a hurry to dry it off and worry about water spots. UNTIL NOW! lol This system can be used with a power washer, but you will go through the filters fast. I got about 10-12 car washes out of it (3 vehicles) and the filters need to be replaced already. They show pictures with a power washer and that’s on me just assuming I’d be just fine with one. Then reading the information again I see it states “maximum pressure @ 90 PSI”. So in other words use a garden hose with a regular nozzle to spray. They usually don’t go above 80 PSI. So I will see with the next filters I buy using a regular spray nozzle how long I get out of them. It definitely works though! So much more laid back to not worry about drying off in a rush. ... show more

This has been a mircle for us. We have 3 blacks vehicles and very hard water. Since my husband has started using this, he has saved us hours by not having to dry the cars. We can actually wash and rinse and spots are down to a minimal. I highly recommed.

i thought this was too good to be true and i was correct what a absolute waste of money i used this to wash some of my cars and it worked great for 2 cars and then i noticed spots everywhere on the rest and i tested the water when i first bought it the water was 004 and now it’s 556 i have no idea how it goes from that to that but i will never buy another one of these total waste of money but if you don’t believe me go ahead and try it for yourself. i was scrubbing on my cars for 2 hours with the most concentrated water spot remover i can buy and barely go it off them ... show more
