I love these soap saver dishes. They give my bathtub a very spa-like look, especially when I added glass bottles to store my shampoo and conditioner! So far these have held up to twice daily use, and if they come apart in future, there’s always this thing called “wood glue” that will set them right again. These soap savers are sanded smooth- no splinters. And they kept a bar of soap that I didn’t really like, but was too frugal to throw out, going strong for several months! Just got these but am very happy with them so far. They're compact, attractive, and they actually let your soap drain rather than melt away in a pool of water. So many soap dish designs don't let the water drain out, so the soap gets wasted! This one is well designed and even has a nice indent for the soap to rest in. I know this won't last forever since it's made of wood and will likely degrade over time. But even the metal soap holders I've had have corroded over time. For less than $10 for two dishes... I think I'm set for a while! ... show more

I recently purchased two of these wood dishes to use in two remodeled bathrooms. The new show enclosures had corner shelves . . . one of which I use to hold my soap. During a shower, the soap becomes slippery and slid right off the shelf onto the shower's base where it played hard to catch and was dangerous for me. So I bought the wood soap dishes to place on the shelf to hold the soap. The wood soap dish stayed nicely in place, allowed the soap to drain and solved my problem of chasing a slippery bar of soap and possibly falling in my quest to capture it. To avoid accumulating the soap scum on the wood dish, I simply rinse it off in the shower before I get out and all is good. No problems. Love these wood soap holders. The thickness and size of this product easily accommodates large size soap bars. It is drains water away quickly. In the short amount of time i've used it, the protective coating is holding up good. The soap dish was purchased as a father's day gift from my wife. It appears to be of decent quality but not the sturdiest or polished. I would expect it to be sanded more and have a clear coat of some sort to allow for easy cleaning/rinsing. It is rather rough cut and although I haven't had the chance to use it yet I can forsee the soap getting sucked into or stuck within the fibers of the wood. ... show more

This is a perfect soap dish for my bathroom. It fits a bar of soap perfectly. It is raised up and has 3 slots so the soap can dry out. I hate to have a slimly soap dish. Every time I use the soap it is dry and not wet and messy.
