The simplicity and sparkle factors are definitely present in this piece, which is great especially for the price. When I un-boxed my ring, the stone and band looked to be coated in a weird milky/cloudy film, which made the stone look cheap. However, after giving the ring a quick rinse/wash in plain w
ater, most of the filmy residue came off of the band without impacting the finish. The stone will likely need a cleaning with a small bristle brush (like a toothbrush) to get the residue off. Overall, the sizing is spot on, ring band is comfortable, setting feels secure, and the stone itself catches light BEAUTIFULLY.

I’ve worn natural diamonds (round brilliant & princess cut) and high quality ideal-cut heat-treated CZ (from an Etsy seller) but never Moissanite. I don’t know I could ever justify spending the money on diamonds knowing that Moissanite exists. I love the depth, the steeliness, and the brilliance of it. I purchased a Three stone Moissanite ring after this one from a different seller - and those stones are not as white (this is a D, those are GHI, and to me, this stone looks more diamond-like, especially in artificial lighting. That one has a much stronger disco-ball/ rainbow effect, while this one looks more steely and diamond-like to me, though it has some color flashes too. I recommend the colorless Moissanite sold by this company and am pleased with the quality. You get a real gem certificate with the ring which is nice to have. Highly recommend!

Returned because of the setting

It's a beautiful stone in a strong setting, but it was too "Barbie ring" for me. If the setting had been more dainty, especially through the shoulders, I probably would have kept it. Tough decision, but if I have to talk myself into keeping something, then I shouldn't keep it. The pic with three ring
s for comparison is there to help you understand how big the 5 carat stone is. The biggest is, drum roll, please... 11mm/ 5 carats. The one in the middle is 10mm/ 4 carats by Joseph Schubach. The top is 8mm/ 2 carats by Esdomera. All are moissanite. If you have jeweler friends or deep pockets, you may want to reset the stone. It is so choice. I seriously thought about doing that, but did not have the means.
