I've been using these on my motorcycle for well over a year now, and so far they work wonders. Installing them is easy, though due to the fact that they're metal instead of plastic they require a bit more force to screw/unscrew. As long as you install them correctly there's no air loss risk (at least in a motorcycle, I don't know how they'd work in a car). In my experience, there's no difference between these stem caps and the factory ones that came with the bike (except, of course, for the sensor). I don't have to inflate my tires more regularly, and I travel every day. The sensor works pretty well, going from green (full) to yellow (low, inflate as soon as possible) to red (dangerous, inflate STAT). I cannot speak for the bad experience others have had with these. Perhaps they're not using the correct type for their pressure, perhaps they got some faulty ones, perhaps they're not screwing them correctly. It's true that by design the stems are always making pressure on the valve, so if the tip breaks then air is going to inevitably go out faster than if a regular cap broke, so there's a risk involved to take into account. But since the entire purpose of these caps is to check them regularly you should notice if there's an issue with enough time. I recommend keeping spares at hand just in case. ... show more

    • BEWARE drive thru car washes if you have these on my wheels...learned this THE HARD WAY!

I liked the "at a glance," ability to check tire pressure, even though my car also tells me what my tire pressure is. However going thru a drive thru car was...with these caps on...cost me $130 in repairs. These valve covers stick out a fair amount...and got caught on something in the car wash, broke one of these valve covers off, and took the valve stem as well...and that valve stem is attached to the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) so I had to put on the spare...and go to a shop that had TPMS for my vehicle and have them replace it. NOT a fun way to spend a Sunday... So needless to say, I DO NOT recommend these, because they do stick out, and adds to the risk of catching on something and costing you SIGNIFICANTLY more than the purchase price of these valve stem covers. ... show more

i bought these as an additional support for my Lexus GX 470 TPMS, mainly to pinpoint which of my tire/s was slowly leaking and because I did not want to deal with scammers. These solved my problem. Now when, and if my TPMS light come on, I just take a look at the valve stem and I will know exactly which tire/s needs help. This will cost me far less if the problem arises again. ... show more

These are great little valve stem caps with built in TPMS! I would not recommend them during winter, but they’re good in warmer months and it helps to quickly check your tire pressure. Works on Bikes and they look cool!
