  • Leather filler to repair scratches and holes tears on leather surfaces
This worked very well for me on a leather couch that needed a dog nail scratch filled in and another craft project with a leather cane I sanded down for repairs. A wet paste that can be layered into damaged areas and then left to dry before a light sand and dye match. It takes a varnish very well if needed. ... show more

  • Excellent product
I had a boat console that was so badly damaged with cracks and rips that I didn't even take "before" photos - it had no hope. But, because of the reasonable price of this product, I took a chance to just see what would happen and it exceeded my wildest expectations! The product does smooth out and hide even larger cracks in vinyl. Although it didn't completely eliminate the holes (mainly because of the jagged edges), it did provide a smoother surface so I could place vinyl repair tape over them to serve as a quick facelift until a complete overhaul of the upholstery can be done. If you have a small slit or crack, or damage that hasn't left a crater this product is a perfect solution. It does dry white, so vinyl paint would be required if you're working on any other color. Overall it's a great product and I will definitely order again for any other leather(ish) or vinyl repair project. ... show more

  • Works great!
I have a cream colored loveseat that was in rough shape from wear & cat scratches. Cleaned the sofa with a cleaner called Super Clean (saw it on a YouTube video). It cuts grease and oils really well with almost no odor. After it dried I used the filler and did about 3 coats. Allowed the filler to dry a few hours between coats. It did a great job of filling in minor scratches in one coat, but needed a few coats for the black areas. Waited 24 hours after last coat, sanded it briefly with 220 grit sandpaper, & then applied leather paint. Came out great and my sofa looks brand new. Note - I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it starts to thicken pretty fast if you don't keep the top closed as you work. And I had to buy a 2nd container of filler to have enough to complete my loveseat. But granted my loveseat was was in bad shape. But 2 oz is still a pretty small container. I would definitely recommend this product! I noticed some reviews said it was too thin. But you want it thin. If it's too thick then it shows up under the Leather paint and you spend all your time sanding. Better to use several thin coats than one thick one. ... show more

  • Does the job
Does the job nicely when paired with sane brand acrylic pant cover up on your preferred color of another paint product of your choice to cover up cracks or tears in your leather goods. We can continue to e joy our office chairs much longer now. Highly recommend.

  • Leather repair
The product wasn’t what I thought it would do, easy to apply but wouldn’t stick to leather. It would rub off into a ball

  • So easy, flexible, the perfect product to fix holes
This stuff was perfect. I used shoe glue to glue a denim backing to the hole in my sofa, then applied this filler directly over. The leather was incredibly uneven but it only took 3 applications (sanding in between coats) to fill the area to my satisfaction. I applied color restorer over the filler. The area looks a little too smooth and shiny compared to the rest of the sofa, but for a home patch it looks great and I might be the only person to notice it. ... show more

  • Saved a Danish Modern Beauty!
I found a gorgeous chair on the side of the road in less than perfect condition. Initially intended to reupholster it but couldn't get over the quality of the leather and piping and knew I wouldn't be able to find anything comparable under $20/yrd and sewing leather piping can be tough. This filler saved the day! The cushions look BRAND NEW after filler and a few fresh coats of Angelus black leather paint. I regret not taking a before photo! How I did it: the small knicks filled easily in one pass and I wiped around them with a paper towel to remove excess product. The tear was about .75-1 inch in length. It was fairly straight so I just used a razor to “miter” the edges of the tear so they wouldn't stick out. Glued a small piece of canvas to the inside for stability and I used a small palette knife and pushed the filler in. It’s thin and I had great results working in stages. Applying thin layers, allowing to dry and continuing to fill. I overfilled the last time to make sure I would be able to get a totally flush finished product and sanded with 320-600 grit sandpaper. I also lightly sanded the entire surface for better paint adhesion. A coat of sealer and she's good to go. PS: It didn't dry out while I was working with, and I worked with it in my sunny kitchen in the middle of summer in Phoenix, AZ. I found it to have more than enough working time. ... show more

  • Filled cracks satisfactorily
I used this before using leather paint on the cracks in my bonded leather dining room chairs. It dries thick, and leaves marks even after sanding. It is elastic-y after it dries, which hopefully will make it last longer in the cracks and not crack again. I had to use several coats to get it to fill in perfectly. I then used several coats of the leather paint. The filler dries white, so take this into consideration when painting over it. The chairs aren't perfect, but they'll last a bit longer until I can find replacements that I like as much. The After pic is the final result after using this filler and then using leather paint. ... show more
