I have found for my organizational preference I need an undated planner, that allows me flexibility to my weeks but also gives me a monthly overview. With the undated month and week layout I can fill in the dates and start whenever I want to. Anecdote’s design is classic and sturdy with a beautiful cover in a range of colors. I like that there are pages with space for me to write down my goals for the year. Each weekly layout guides me to list my priorities to accomplish for the day with space for quick notes. The pages are made of a durable paper. The thickness of the pages are sturdy and I don’t fear bleed thru or tearing. There is so much to love about this journal! From the structure and format to the paper quality and cover material. Everything comes together to make my daily organization less intimidating and more soothing and accessible. Definitely a new fave! -- For a more detailed breakdown: - LAYOUT: First of all, the structure is fantastic. Having the weekly plan and priorities which can be broken down further in the daily is immensely helpful! I personally enjoying that it gives space for 5 priorities per day -- it allows me to be goal oriented without spreading myself too thin. And the non dated format is great for me, because I don't have to feel guilty if I miss a day. - PAPER QUALITY: This might be weird or picky, but the feel of my journals is also important to me. The materials feel very high quality, from the cover to the paper. I write with Pilot Precise 0.5mm pens or Le Pen 0.3mm pens, and they can smear on some paper types. But they write *beautifully* in this journal! - AESTHETICS: I really like that there are so many colour options AND that they are true to colour (from the online pictures). The packaging is also really pretty. Also -- not one, but too bookmark strings! Yes!! - OVERALL: Really a fantastic product, I've already recommended to several friends. ... show more

I love the color of the Anecdote monthly calendar & planner and the quality! Being able to write in my own dates makes it easy for me to use.     • Disappointed, but declined a refund
There is a reason that the pages on the videos and screen are very hard to read - the color of the type is so light and the page color is off white, so there is very low contrast. I suspect anyone with low vision will have problems with it. There are lines on the times of day, but no lines on the daily to do or priorities section. I like lines, especially lines that I can actually see and no, I do not have low vision. These lines are just extremely faint. The first week in the planner begins with a Monday, Sat/Sun share a single page the end of each week, so if you need to plan for weekend activities, very little space. I expect the binding will not last long. Nice space for notes at the end of the week and one page for listing priorities for the week. I don't know that I'll actually use it. I'd return it, but I've already broken in the binding and threw away the box... Might donate it. Updated - the seller offered me a full refund, which I've declined. I've already written in it and am going to try to use it. Because they are so responsive, I've upgraded my review from 3 to 4 stars. ... show more

I ordered this planner a few months into my traineeship as a therapist, and it changed things for me. The sections helped keep me organized and track my hours. I had plenty of room to take notes in trainings or meetings, the paper is good quality so whatever highlighter or pen I used didn’t bleed through. I loved the flexibility of no set dates/months.     • Why only 6 months of planning?

Dislikes: 1. The biggest count against this planner is that, while it does have a full year of monthly layouts, it only gives you 6 months of daily planner sheets. What is the point of a planner that doesn't provide the pages on which a person can plan their day? Was this mentioned in the description? I see now that it is at the very end. (Shame on me for not reading it fully.) This single detail makes the planner a no-go for me and an unfortunate waste of $25. 2. For me, in the daily planner section, it's more helpful to have fewer lines per day so that you can keep a week visible across the spread. Not a deal breaker, though. 3. As other reviewers have noted, the print is very light. It could do with a bit more contrast. 4. It's kind of a lot to have to write in every single date on the useable pages. I knew what I was getting, but still... Likes 1. It really is a beautiful planner. The olive color I ordered is rich and the cover feels very solid and durable. 2. I like the layout decision of having all the monthly calendars grouped together. Planners I've had in the past put the monthly calendar, followed by the weekly/daily breakdowns which can be cumbersome when you're planning events far in the future. So, I like that particular layout decision in the anecdote planner. 3. The pages and binding feel like high quality. I read one review of this planner that said it felt that the binding would fall apart and I disagree. I think it is quality. Since I didn't discover the 6 month limitation until I had already written dates in through April, I have to keep the planner. However, it is not useable for me and I've already ordered something else. I'm really disappointed about it, too, because it's so beautiful. ... show more
