For the most part, I bought them for the front round red lens styling for costumes - the side vents were not a primary reason but a nice edition - if they were consistently placed. Got this for a Crowley cosplay (Good Omens) and they are fantastic! They come with a case and microfiber cloth. And the sideguards fold in so they fit in the case nicely. They are much lighter weight than some of the other "steampunk" glasses I have worn in the past, but they don't feel cheap. I'm tempted to wear them every day, because they are so comfortable.
