  • Quality purchase, fast delivery
The CD was just what my boyfriend was looking for. The CD arrived quickly and it was just as described. I would buy again from this seller.

  • Hmmmmm
I'm giving it four stars based solely on the fact that it is De La Soul. I purchased it to support the artist - but I'm not impressed. It's very artsy and eclectic but it's not something to vibe to, it's something to "listen and learn". It's too deep to enjoy - fully.

  • Hip Hop album of the year for the adults ear!!!
Hip Hop album of the year for the adults ear!!! It makes sense than grown men make grown folks music, but my kids sing along with this too (Pain, Trainwreck). Of course I had to intro them to De La or they wouldn't have found own their way to this music. My oldests boys were surprised by the 2Chainz cameo and his ability to switch up his flow like he did on Whoodeeni , but they liked it. Memory of Us feat Estelle and Pete Rock is CLASSIC. I had to warm up to the whole album being my favorite since on first listen a lot of it went over my head, but I think that's the case with most DeLa classic albums. Who honestly liked every track on 3 Feet High... until after a solid year of listening to that cassette on auto reverse in your walkman? ... show more

  • Easily one of their best albums
Easily one of their best albums. Got with the times. The great thing about it is that it's not the same old crap. Which is what a lot of rap groups try to do when they are gone for a while or past their prime. It will grow in you BIG TIME. Only De La could get 2 Chains, Talking Heads, A Swedish electronic la group, the lead singer of tlThe Darkness all on 1 album and pull it off. This album is a mature grown up De La Soul. Sort of all comes together in this album. Like the journey that I started when I first started listening to them in 1988 when I was in 8th grade has come full circle. ... show more

  • Artful masterpiece!
This album spans genres, but is still 100% De La. If you love music - especially quality music, you will love this album. It's not your typical pop music, which is very similar to fast food: it may taste good going down, but doesn't provide that nourishment and satisfaction that we crave for the long-term. I can see myself listening to this album 5, 10, 15, 20+ years from now. It might not hit the top of the charts, but it's an album that you'll continually come back to for years to come. I've been waiting for music that stirs my soul for years, and this has definitely helped satisfy my craving. Oh yeah, and they released a documentary about the making of the album: [...] ... show more

  • Nobody can know De La Soul!
Very solid album. I really loved that they were going with some different sounds on this album. But that is something you come to expect from De La Soul; always being creative and staying relative to the times of the world. I also found it amazing that this album was funded by a Kickstarter which tells you the outpouring of love for them! ... show more

  • De La Faithful Not Just For The Birds
Keep it coming! De La Soul continues with unique sound collage-collaborations laced with lyrical hooks, memoir-based rhymes, and mature urban perspectives that navigate American life in an ever shrinking global cultural landscape. Intelligent music.....directed by hip hop culture and a relaxed vibe that looks toward digital futures and more crowd-sourced material in the ear pods of new fans and the DE LA FAITHFUL. ... show more
