I love this set. All the items that come in it seem to be very high quality. I have used the sockets with a battery powered ratchet and also with an air impact wrench, they worked great with either tool. The numbers on the parts are big enough to read without having to strain these old eyes and they seem like they will wear well and not disappear any time soon. The places in the box to hold each socket are also well marked. The box: I am extremely happy with it. In the old days a good socket set came with a metal box and that was a nice, long lasting way to store and keep your set organized. Today we are in "the plastic age" and most, if not all, tool kits come in blow molded boxes at best. This is a great box. The tools are held tightly but not so tightly that you have to fight them to remove or replace them. It closes and latches well. No complaints. I think this is a great set and very fairly priced. I am what they used to call a "shade tree mechanic" so for my purposes these tools are more than adequate. Perhaps a professional mechanic might have a different opinion, but I don't know why. ... show more

I purchased this set not expecting it to last a very long time. Considering the type of work I will be using it for. Needless to say, I was very surprised how well the ratchet held up. I put a 3 foot cheater bar on the ratchet to free up a 15/16 bolt, waiting for the ratchet to fail, but it never did. I have done this process several times with the ratchet. It still works just as well as when I first took it out of the box for the first time. The storage for the sockets and ratchet are great. I am constantly moving this case from location to location, and I am not gentle with it. It always seems to keep everything in its correct place. Every once in a while you may a wild one, but I wouldn't expect any different because how rough I am with it. Getting ready to get another set just to keep for a spare. Great product! ... show more

Size: 1/2" Impact Socket Set
These seem to be tools of the highest quality. I've used them by hand (w/o impact driver), and I like them more with each use. The first time, the black oxide coating on the ratchet was thick enough that sockets fit tightly. But that was solved quickly by use and wiping the ratchet with an oily rag. So I now don't see that as a problem. The price was right for these tools, and without that, such good tools wouldn't be available to me. Very happy! ... show more

Size: 3/8" Impact Socket Set
Pretty complete set, both SAE and metric. Be sure to keep it correct side up when opening. I like the visible size marking, why not put it on every 120° so it can be seen from any side. I hope they last, but I don’t use it heavy duty day to day, so will last me, I think.

This was better quality than I was expecting. Tools are rugged and flawless. The case is much sturdier than expected. The size range of metric and sae sockets is very usable too. So far, I'm loving it!
